March 14, 201610 yr Author Regarding the Nevada Hispanic vote idea....I believe I read that only 8% of registered Hispanic voters are Republican. If that's the case the fact that he won that demographic translates to roughly ~3-5% of the entire Hispanic population in the state. Not quite the earth-shattering statistic many see it as IMO. Trump carried 45% of the GOP Hispanic vote in the caucus in what was a 10 (or so) candidate field at that time. If the field was 4 as it is now, Trump probably carries 60% of the Hispanic vote when two of the other candidates are .... Hispanic. That's pretty strong.

You're talking about GOP registered Hispanics only. In a state where 20% of the population is Hispanic, what percentage do you think are registered as Republicans? My guess is it's very low.
March 14, 201610 yr Mitt Romney to Campaign With John Kasich - Yahoo Romney campaigning for Kascish in Ohio. This is disgusting. Kascich has no shot at the nomination and this is nothing more than an effort to damage Trump in defiance of the electorate. If Trump has the most committed delegates and is denied the nomination, I would say we no longer live in a democracy. I believe the constitution instructs what to do if this occurs! I had Kasich at my second choice, but allowing Mitt to stump for him proves he's still part of the establishment. I'm disappointed John caved into the big money of the gop. March 14, 201610 yr Author So Trump is allowed to have supporters stump and campaign for him, but none of the other nominees are? It would be different if Romney were stumping for Cruz, the only other candidate with a shot at the nomination. Romney is not stumping for Kasich, he is stumping against Trump.
March 14, 201610 yr It would be different if Romney were stumping for Cruz, the only other candidate with a shot at the nomination. Romney is not stumping for Kasich, he is stumping against Trump. So no one should be allowed to show support for either Kasich or Rubio is what you're saying...Gotcha.

March 14, 201610 yr I don't see any way Trump can be a unifier. He has offended too many groups and people for that to ever happen. His only hope of accomplishing anything that he wants will be for the Republicans to win control of both houses of Congress. This is any presidents only hope of accomplishing anything.
March 14, 201610 yr You're talking about GOP registered Hispanics only. In a state where 20% of the population is Hispanic, what percentage do you think are registered as Republicans? My guess is it's very low. The stat if my memory serves me well was 3% of Hispanics were registered Republicans. Trump carried 45% of 3%. Talk about spinning numbers.
March 14, 201610 yr And that Chris Christie endorsement of Trump really separated him from the establishment, didn't it? Chris Christie was not on the "A" list at the island getaway a few days ago. Kasich having a stumper who was a main player at "fantasy island" shows who he's hitched his wagon to.

Yes, this is silly for any gop person to claim this Hispanic vote proves he will get a large portion of Hispanic vote. I'm an illegal Mexican hiding in ky, paying no tax, getting free health care, sending American dollars back to Mexico each week, who do you think I'm telling all the legal Mexican's to vote for? I'm guessing not the guy wanting to kick me out.

You mean American citizens, right.

At the present time, the Republicans have a majority in the House and Senate. Just need to make sure it stays that way.
March 14, 201610 yr When Donald Trump loses in the fall, it will be interesting to see how all those complaining feel about these efforts. Better to have voted for your candidate and lost, than never to have voted at all. To those who choose not to vote, you will not have the right to complain.
