South Laurel is better than what people think. The Cards will slip past CC.

I'm not sure who has the best chance but I will be rooting for all of em..especially Buckhorn. Gotta love the mullets. Go Mt boys!

South Laurel is the real deal. Lawrence County is good too. They are a level above the other 2 mountain teams. They each have a shot at winning their first game.

Since no one is going to speak in defense of Elliott County, I will. The real Elliott County team didn't show up last year against Bowling Green. They should have only lost by 15 or so. The Lion's are a better team this year than last. They have five players who could score twenty points, so you better be ready to guard them all. They are capable of explosive scoring. They play good defense, rebound well and are unselfish on offense. With the return of Alex Robinson, they have a stronger presence under the basket, another scorer and most importantly more depth. Prediction, a much closer more interesting game with Elliott County the underdog but should not be counted out.

I have no doubt that Elliott County belongs on the same court with South Laurel. I haven't seen Lawrence County play this year but judging from last year the Lions of Elliott County would be on a level with them also.

I think I hit it spot on. The benches were cleared with Bowling Green up 71-59 and 1:11 remaining in the game. Final score 75-59 Bowling Green. The Lions of Elliott represented themselves well and were within striking distance with about three minute to go in the game. I believe Elliott's Chase Porter had a game high 28 points on 13 for 19 shooting. He didn't shoot any free throws.
