March 9, 201610 yr Report: Marvin Jones to sign with Detroit Lions It isn’t often that the Cincinnati Bengals lose their grip on a homegrown player they targeted to keep, but a report indicates that wide receiver Marvin Jones has done just that by agreeing to sign with the Detroit Lions. Jones cannot sign any deal until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, when the new NFL year begins. He would become the Lions’ No. 1 option with the retirement of Calvin Johnson.

March 9, 201610 yr By Jones or the Bengals? Jones going to Detroit. I do get getting $$$$$$, but Detroit would not be the place I would go IMO. On the Bengals side I think they should resign Sanu over Jones.

I see what you are saying, but the window of opportunity is so small in the NFL you have to get that money as soon and as much as you can.
March 9, 201610 yr I see what you are saying, but the window of opportunity is so small in the NFL you have to get that money as soon and as much as you can. I understand that point too. If most of the deal is guaranteed, then do what hes gotta do. If only half or less is, there are better situations he could probably get that same deal with.

March 9, 201610 yr Does Detroit still have Golden Tate? Is Stafford still their QB? Wasnt there talk of them looking another direction?
March 9, 201610 yr I guess we know now what Cincy will draft in the first round. Feel like Mel Kiper has been saying that for a little while now.
March 9, 201610 yr I was pretty sure all along they were going to lose both Jones and Sanu. They both will probably get a little more than the Bengals think they are worth. The Bengals are going to have to keep Eifert and that will cost big $$$$. They also have to do something with Zeitler and Kirkpatrick next year. They will be challenged early offensively, but I am not overly concerned with this. I believe in Tobin.
