CinBell Fioptic help

Featured Replies

Sister in law moved from cable to Direct TV - was not happy. Switched to fiber optics. Still not happy

Now thinking of changing back to cable

I've had all three. Direct TV by far has been the best experience and it isn't even close.

Boy, this is now bordering on absurd! Yesterday the issue with ESPN2 HD coming in at standard definition got solved. Now ESPN HD is coming in as standard definition and ESPN2 HD has no sound!! Just aggravating as heck!

Yes, I have the same problems you are describing. Earlier today I reconfigured the way all of the wires from the wall to the fioptics box and then to the TV. I was just trying to do a better job of hiding the wires. I had to unplug everything. So I figured I had messed up a setting on my TV until I saw this thread. Very relieved to find out it is CBF problem and not mine.

Hey puntheball, notice the problems today? See post above.

I just saw this, have you heard about this new feature CinBell Fioptic is coming out with? MyTV, sounds like it's ala carte channel choices: New MyTV Packages | Cincinnati Bell - Cincinnati Bell

Just wonder how limited the choices are?

Have not heard of it. I will ask my wife if she has seen anything about it. She takes care of all of that stuff. I do not really watch much TV besides sports.

Today is the first day this is available.

Direct TV is wonderful, it's just expensive.

Not really, bill goes up you call them and they lower it. Cable and Fioptics works the same.

I pay $110 a month for my DTV. 3 TVs, DVR-HD. It's not cheap.

I pay less than that, 3 TVs, Genie - HD, second highest package available. Call them, they work with you. The same setup with cable or fioptics is as expensive or more so. That's why I abandoned both, plus neither is anywhere near the quality of DTV.

My ESPN channels are still messed up thru CB FO. Called yesterday and they said they'd have someone fix it Monday. The customer service is amazingly poor.

Yes, the rate skyrocketed after the first year. Fought with them forever to settle somewhere in the middle. Every year we have to fight with them again.
