I have heard he's likely playing freshmen again. But, I no longer have someone in the program so my information could be incorrect.

Playing for Scott?

Ryle's soon to be frosh have gone to the state finals and semi's in back to back years. Played teams from Cincy and all over the state of Ky. I think their record is over the last 2 years was 24 and 4. Got to be in contention.

Ryle will be very good the next few years.....But so will Highlands!? Both should be fun to watch!

They moved and his cousins play(ed) for Scott, he was always going to go there.

I can see him getting some JV time. Hopefully there is no need to force him to varsity action. He be better off growing and adding some weight first. 5a and 6a football can be physical and brutal.. Hope he can develop this year and play varsity next. He's a banger.

So they had @ (47) Frosh on this past seasons team and they are increasing that by (40) kids?

1) How do they really know that many will come out? These are 8th graders 2/3's of the way through the current school year. Are they already enrolled or something?

2) Great problem to have I guess, but how in the world do they organize that and get kids on the field? I know Cov Cath basketball briefly considered creating two Frosh teams in order to get as many as possible playing, but in the end, the KHSAA dictates that Frosh only play a certain # of games period, regardless how many Frosh teams you field. So if you play 20 total games, team A plays 10 and team B plays 10.

 

 

Is that a good rule? I'll have to think about that. I like more kids getting the opportunity to play. But, does allowing big schools to field two teams give them an unfair advantage? In Ohio they let schools have A teams and B teams.

Exactly.....But for the Record my Blue team was 1-0 against Ryle. I didn't play you guys this year. You guys beat the White team this year. Correct? Ryle will be very good the next few years.
