Very good poll, hard to argue with anything. Can whoever does this poll please talk with those who put out those Litkenhous Ratings and try to convince them to look at yours first? lol.

Is Trinity still at that level with the loss of a key player due to injury?

 

I still think Southwest is a top 10 team. Also, I'd move Scott County up a few to around 7th.

Trinity defeated Central by 22 last Friday.

 

Southwestern lost to Somerset and then Mercer County. They were #11 last week. That means they drop this week.

 

Scott County lost by 30 to Dunbar. Sure it is Dunbar but they lost by 30.

The pole is a lot better than most but I think you are leaving two good teams out in Lawrence co and PCC. Either could beat Owen , Murray, North Hardin or Paducah Tilghman. South Laurel and Clay could do the same. You have no teams listed from the mountains and the four you have rated that I mentioned are not very good.

All of those teams you mentioned have been ranked at some point throughout the season.

 

Clay County began the season ranked and got as high as 13th I believe. The month of January wasn't a good month and they fell out of the rankings. They have been playing great as of late but have been unable to make it back into the rankings.

 

South Laurel made it into the rankings after defeating Clay County and a few other teams and then fell out after losing to Corbin I believe.

 

Lawrence County has been in and out of the rankings and PCC just recently left the rankings.

 

The only time our rankings are done on speculation is the preseason rankings. How the teams play and look after the preseason rankings tell the story of the rankings the rest of the season. That's why Taylor County began the season at #2 and fell out of the rankings by the beginning of January.

Impressive

I highly doubt Lawrence County or Perry Central would beat Paducah Tilghman, Murray or Owen. South Laurel beat Clay and Owen beat south Laurel if that tells you anything.

Murray also beat Owen and Tilghman beat Murray to help you understand what those teams are like if you haven't seen them.

5 of the top 6 teams made the Sweet 16 and 7 of the top 20 overall made it.
