MasonCoRoyal Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Final from The Fieldhouse. 17th straight win against Fleming County. Royals did play without Antwavon "Pig" Williams. Leading Scorers D. Williams 21 Lofton 19 Sweeney 15
mcpapa Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 (edited) Pesky Panthers hung around through part of the 3rd quarter. Down 40-38, Levi Dunaway makes a bucket and gets fouled. Technical on FC, Dunaway misses the and-1; Darren Williams makes the two technical FTs. Royals finish the quarter on a 23-3 run and don't look back, scoring 57 in the second half. Lots of Royals hit the scoring column at bench-clearing time; nice to see Chris Dunaway hit that 3-ball late. Career-high 21 for Darren Williams along with 8 boards. 15 or so (and 8 boards) for frosh Lofton, 14 for Sweeney (who was saddled with foul trouble for much of the game); career-high 9 for Henry, 8 and 8 for Levi, 6 for Garrison. Another Pig-less game tomorrow night against Pendleton County, who shocked Paris this evening. Edited February 19, 2016 by mcpapa
LoganDMC Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Mason Co did alrigt without Pig in the 3rd & 4th quarters. Fleming went cold & didn't knock down the ones from the line. Very physical game, at one point I thought the officials lost control of the game, but order was restored & the game went on. Will @mcpapa be at tomorrow nights game? If so, come over behind the Pendleton Co bench and see me! You can't miss me!

RaginRoyal21 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Great game, marks the 17th straight victory for the Royals in this rivalry
Pick-six Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Great game, marks the 17th straight victory for the Royals in this rivalry Still hard to believe Fleming County didn't pick up a win against them when Burns, Saunders, Steward and company were playing.
maysvilleky Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Who was the technical on (player/coach)? It was on the player that fouled. He must have said something. I think the player thought there was a foul on the Fleming Co. end that didn't get called and then he got called for the foul as Dunaway was driving and making the hoop.
mcpapa Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Who was the technical on (player/coach)? Number 15 (Ashton Hall?).
TAC Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Can I assume since the Technical was on a Fleming County player the Mason fans were OK with the refs?
mcpapa Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Can I assume since the Technical was on a Fleming County player the Mason fans were OK with the refs? See post 3 for one take. I saw one missed double dribble that went against MC and there are always a handful of 50/50 calls. Nothing egregious at all.

dognation Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Is there a kid named Dalton on Mason County's team. Would be a sophomore. I watched some AAU games last summer and thought he might have some potential this year. I thought his AAU coach said he played at Mason county.
mcpapa Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Dalton Perkins. 6-8 or 6-9. Plays JV a lot, sparingly on the varsity. Saw quite a few minutes last night.
