Report: Peyton Manning attempted to cover up 1996 sexual assault allegation

The problem is it's not something local. It's systemic. And the Lyle Alzado's of the world didn't cope with the tumors it created very well. I can't speak to the treatment of that by a licensed physician specializing in that field, but I'd be shocked if HGH was part of a typical treatment. I'd think stem cells and their full genetic potential would be a better treatment modality, but that's just speculation on my part.

Thanks doc.

Totally disagree. I don't always agree with him but his by no means a clown. No way he knew about it then and is saying he did not now. That just doesn't make any sense. He is saying that a bunch of journalists dropped the ball on this one, himself included.

I was more joking about him knowing. But not about the clown part. He's one of the biggest jokes in the business in my opinion.

Looks like academic fraud could be the latest rabbit jumping out of the hat:

A review of court records connected with a lengthy legal dispute between Manning and former Tennessee trainer Jamie Naughright shows a possible explanation for the acrimony: She may have accused him of cheating in a class.

The Peyton side of things:

“This is the story,” Manning’s lawyers wrote, “of a collegiate athletic trainer who parlayed a minor incident with one of the most well-known athletes in the country into a $300,000 settlement with the University of Tennessee and then went on to a small Florida college for collect another settlement check of $65,000 after being properly transferred to another position at the college. She now has filed this baseless libel suit seeking another substantial settlement from the celebrity athlete, his equally well-known father, a noted sportswriter, and a major book publisher based on a few paragraphs in a book that never even identified her by name. By this suit, the libel plaintiff seeks to settle old scores with the famous college athlete and with former colleagues at the University of Tennessee and at Florida Southern College by dragging them through extended discovery while hoping to have yet another financial windfall at the end of the day. This misuse of the legal system must end.”

I posted this yesterday but it got zapped with the issues we had. Mike Florio of PFT was originally 'defending" Manning in my opinion (innocent until proven guilty stuff and you are not a lawyer stuff) but it appears the tide may be turning:

Without Saxon’s testimony, it’s impossible to fully resolve the dispute between Naughright’s version and Manning’s version. There’s enough from the testimony and the circumstances, however, to permit a reasonable person to conclude that Manning did something far more than moon Saxon.

Which means that we’ve finally reached the point where there’s enough evidence to allow educated opinions to be made about what did and didn’t happen, even though we’ll never know what happened with the kind of clarity that would have existed if Saxon had spoken.

Anybody notice a similarity in these 2 pictures? Be cautious my friends!
