One of the most exciting regions in KY, especially in Central KY, the 10^th region, like every other region, was hammered with cancellations after a winter storm poured out it’s “Flurry” in a hurry last couple of weeks, cancelling ball games left and right.

 

The #1 team in the region, Mason County didn’t have a big break like a lot of teams did, in fact, they got to play games on January 13, 19, 21, 27 and 29^th, 4 out of 5 of those games on those dates were W’s for the Lady Royals but the lone loss came to #2 Campbell County on January 29^th. Lady Royals will look to get back on track next Wednesday as they travel to Morehead to battle Rowan County.

 

The #2 team in the region, Campbell County Lady Camels have been playing some good basketball lately, winning 3 straight and 5 of their last 6 games with one of them defeating #1 Mason County. Lady Camels will look to continue their momentum next week when they face Pendleton County and Mercer County along with Grant County.

 

Around the Region:

#3 Bracken County – Lady Bears’ hot streak came to an end when they were dealt a big 55-30 loss to Harlan Lady Dragons in the first round of the All “A” Classic at the Frankfort Civic Center.

#4 Scott – Lady Eagles have won 1 out of their last 3 games.

#5 George Rogers Clark – Lady Cardinals have dropped 2 straight after winning 3 straight.

#6 Bourbon County – After a rough start to the season, The Lady Colonels have now won 6 of their last 7 games.

I understand with Campbell is ranked first for now but IMO I still think Mason is the best team in the region, just had a rough night.

Don't see how you knock Mason from #1. State final 4 last year. Have played well with every top 20 team they've played. Bad night against Campbell. They're still the top team/team to beat in the 10th.

You Mason Co. fans worry far too much about rankings that in the end mean nothing.

Interesting to see Brossart at #7 and #11. ??

Scott seems to have come along this season, especially now that they have returned their injured players
