True...but the outcome/consequence should be the same. For instance, you might chew Jimmy out loudly for making a certain mistake and make him run 5 suicides. Johnny makes the same mistake and you might need to put your arm around him and explain what he did wrong in a mild, controlled way...but he still should run the same 5 suicides when it's all said and done. Yes different kids react differently to a given coaching method.

I wholeheartedly concur.

I've watched Perry play in this District his entire career. He is an excellent player. Controls the game and all defensive game plans are centered on controlling him. It's been that way for three years and he still stands out. His father's bench conduct during games is questionable at best, but he is tougher on his kid than any other player and always has been...and I am anything but a Morgan County fan.

I have seen Jordan play without a doubt 75% of all of his high school games beginning with him being a starter as a 7th grader and been to many many practices. I assure you that Coach Perry is harder on his son than he is any other player. So where those comments came from they are simple untrue.

Wireman, I'm not soft on my son, I'll be dag on if another man is gonna embarrass my child and let their kid slide until behind closed doors! You treat them the same, if you get after one in public you need to address them all! If I was head coach of my team I'd be 10x harder on my son, and if I did it in front of people I could justify being that way to their son! That's all I'm saying, Jordan is a terrific player, but he's not perfect... His dad says nothing to him but will berate any other "kid" that messes up!

 

His dad says nothing to him? Not sure what games you have been to but that is not accurate at all. Coach Perry is without a doubt harder on his son than he is any of the other kids. Always has been. Maybe that is why his son turned out to be as good as he is. I mean regardless of the negative comments toward Jordan most agree he is a very talented player. Pretty sure his dad has been the biggest reason for that. He expects more from his son than he does the other players. Jordan's hard work has also put him in that position too. But Coach Perry is not the monster some make him out to be. He spends so much of his time in the youth leagues for Morgan Co kids. And they ALL love him. That is his feeder program and he does a great job of coaching, teaching and running it.

Anyone who watched this game and has something negative to say about Jordan Perry is looking for something to be upset about. The kid is a stud. If not for him, it would have be 25+ beat down.
