Owen County 64 Morgan County 58 (All "A" State Quarter-Final)

Featured Replies

I'd say state wide Perry is underrated.

Very much so! I just hope for his sake he gets a chance to show his talents at Rupp! I do believe he surprised a few folks that were at the All A who hadn't had a chance to see him play and watched him go to work against a real good Owen co squad. He plays for a typical small 16th region mountain school and maybe if others seen him play they would appreciate his hard work he has put in and his talents.

Averages 9 FTA per game and 20 FGA per game.

And yes, he puts up numbers.

Big numbers.

Quit hating on a kid who plays the game and works hard. There are hundreds of kids across the state who need to be recognized for what they do, how hard they work.

Avg only 20 shots a game . Really
To me 37 sounds good, till it was on 32 shots. And more than the rest of his team. I understand a teams top player , needs to step up in a big game. But you also have teammates that need some touches. Is my point, might have helped. And Greenup has a few shooter`s also 29 on Pig and Mason. Ashland paper posted stats 2 weeks ago, 5 different categories. Out of the 5 , Perry was in 4. One Greenup player beat him in 3 out of 4.Points per game average went to Jordan. The rest Rebounds , FT%, and 3 point %. Plus the Greenup player shot a hole lot more 3s . And another Greenup player at 15 points and over 8 Reb a game. May be we will meet, don't forget Morgan has to make Region also.

I hope you are not suggesting there is a better player in the 16th than Jordan Perry? While I admit there are some real good players I won't even consider there being a better player than Perry. I mean really? Oh, Morgan is in the drivers seat and looks like they will face East Carter in the first round of the districts. So it looks like West and Elliott will be battling it out to see who goes to Morehead. But seeing as how Morgan beat East Carter by 19 just two weeks and East's best player is out for the year I'd go out on a limb and say we'll see Morgan co at MSU come regionals. We all have opinions, I'll take mine over yours in this case though. Maybe you can poll your other Greenup supporters and see if they can say with a straight face anyone for Greenup or the region is as good as Perry.

By the way is critiquing a player`s game Bashing ? I don't care where he goes to play after high school, but I hope for your peoples sake its not some one ESPN covers. Don't think you all could handle it. Cause they "Bash" day and night.

Stats don't lie find Jan 12, Ashland sports page. IT shows it all. I Guess the only stat that matters is point`s ? Greenup`s player has had a lot of big game after that, scoring, rebounding, and was 6-6 from 3 just last night. So do stats matter?

Last comment I will make on the subject. Those ESPN guys get paid to critique players. That's part of their jobs. Most if not all of us BGP guys do not. I'm ok with the critiquing you have done on Perry's game for a few years now, but the bashing I'm not ok with. Not just for him but any other players for that matter. A lot of the Greenup fans would love to see Tackett gone and that is evident. We all get to hear about it after every Greenup game. But let's all remember he is a grown man and not a high school kid. Be fair to the kid is all I'm asking. I'll continue to support him and all of our kids. Our coaches too who put in so much of their time without a lot of extra pay to help teach these kids the game they all love. Peace out and good luck to Greenup and all of our kids the rest of the season.

In what game did he take 32 shots? Looks like 26 from what I can see.

I would like to know what you call "Bashing" ? Could you define it for me. I have only talked about his game. Saying someone doesn't play "D" or Rebound. ?

Your right, than Foul shots.

Yes. Check his stats.

I'm with Bball Legend. Last comment. He plays D, and rebounds.

You complain Perry shoots too much, then complain Tackett doesn't get Hughes enough shots. You can't have it both ways. Morgan has had games with big games from various players. Evans 22 pts, Adams 22 pts, Prater with 25 pts, Banks with high scoring games multiple times. The team shares the ball.

I won't critique Greenup, because you will just blame Tackett for anything I say. I'm curious why Morgan/Greenup didn't meet in the regular season this year. I know the answer, do you?

bball Ledgend, huh? Head and shoulders above Elliott, Boyd, Rowan??? Seems like Morgan has to go to Elliott for districts this year, that's a game that Perry can't cancel.... Funny thing is Morgan's girls played Monday, West traveled to Rowan, but the roads between Morgan and Elliott were to bad... Also, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't West a team that beat Morgan? That's not head and shoulders if you ask me!

Morgan and Elliott are tied, Elliott plays West Monday and In my opinion whom ever wins that game will be in the drivers seat.... Morgan's coach will blow it for them.....

Morgan beat West by a lot two weeks ago. Were up 34 at one point!
