Who are the top players to watch for in the 16th? Any thoughts on who will standout from the crowd?

I will start by saying that Scott Gill of Russell could have a big year. Very talented with some great hops.

Matt Martin from Rowan Co. is poised for a great year.

I'll take Matt Martin as a top 5-8 player in the region.

Matt Daniels is one player I have been impressed with this summer. He will have the chance to push Rowan to the top of the 16th. The big kid inside has improves and Martin is an excellant leader out front. Look for Rowan to be a threat to Russell by the end of the season.

Martin is better than at least half that list and Weddington has graduated.

Ferguson has to be on there.

The Russell should have a big year, as a matter of fact Russell has few that could - they are loaded.

Weddington? I'm pretty sure he has played for 4 years already. And you expect us to listen to you.

:fire:

Pretty good list going so far, but I have to agree with RA09... no list of 16th Region players to watch for is complete without Jonathan Ferguson from Elliott County. The kid plays with a ton of heart.

There will be a number of younger players across the region that will begin to make their marks this season as well... :thumb:

I think GodIsATomcat got Weddington mixed up with Ferguson cause Weddington graduated. Tyler Maynard from Elliott Co. is also a guy you will hear some from this season.

Maybe I meant Ferguson, anyway the one who broke his leg this summer.
