Highlands at Mason County still on tonight.

Just got a text that the Highlands and Mason County game is still on for tonight. But the game has been moved to the Fieldhouse. JV @ 6, Varsity at 7:30.

 

Be safe if you make the drive down. Main roads in Mason County are clear as of this morning.

Should be a good one but I will take Mason at home, unless Highlands can start getting the chemistry back and maybe that not it but something is missing.

 

Question: Has Highlands underachieved so far this year and I am not trying to start anything just curious what others think of their performance up to this point. I know they have been hit by injuries but supposedly there underclassman are pretty good so it shouldn't have dropped to much.

I think they have. They have had a ton of injuries and didn't practice or play in their own gym until January 5th...playing home games at NCC, Thomas Moore and in the MS gym. It wasn't an easy start for them. Practices were all over NKY and all different times from starting at 8am to starting at 8pm at Thomas Moore, NKU, and the MS. I'm not an excuse guy at all, but I'm sure this and the injuries have contributed to some of what is going on. They are very skilled and talented, but do have a glowing weakness right now. The weakness can be fixed, but it takes each kid looking in the mirror and fixing it. I say "suck it up buttercup" and decide what you want this team to be. Contender or pretender!?!?!?!?!

This Highlands isn't very good they only beat NCC by 1 and lost to Holy Cross and ND.

 

They also beat ND handily. Are you saying NCC, HC and ND are bad teams? HC only lost to Ryle by 3 (who most feel are the fav). And you neglect to add they lost to SH by one on a last second shot and lost to Holmes by 4 without their PG.

 

HHS is up and down. If you catch them on a down night...very beatable by many teams. Catch them on a good night...they can play with just about anyone.

26-19 MC at half. Leigh got two quick fouls and went to the bench and the Birds struggle to score in the 2nd. MC did a nice job picking up the pressure with Leigh out. Pretty solid game so far.

37-34 HHS after 3. HHS erased the half time lead and took the lead about a minute and a half into the third. MC struggled a little to figure out the Birds defense in the 3rd. Could have a great finish.
