You math guys are something else. Live with the 3 and die with the 3. What's the probability of that? If it happens in a one and out situation say goodnight!

Nah, you just have to be able to coach to whatever strengths you have….I was merely pointing out a fallacy in your argument.

If you are accusing me of being a math wiz…you definitely have the wrong guy

Nah just thought maybe you were big into statistics and probablity.

I've watched this coach for several years. I don't think he is playing to his strength as I have seen him with talented bigs and still fired up 3's like they were behind 20 with 2 min to go. In many instances when they were ahead.

Which talented big?

A few years ago they had made Meyer I remember them leading several games late and instead of looking for high percentage shots or taking advantage of the mismatch she had they simply kept shooting 3's. It just seemed to me that if they played smart they would have closed those games out

KHSAA site shows a Conner freshman with 114 three point attempts so far... That seems like a lot. Especially when she only makes 30% of them. If they are teaching that kind of style to average shooting freshman I think the next four years at Conner will only be much of the same thing.

This is the same girl that took over 400 threes in the aau season a year or two ago, and made less than 30% of them then. Maybe it's not a team/coaching issue.

How would you know this?

Either way it is a lot of 3's just for the sake of shooting them. And at 30% probably not a great strategy against a team that pushes the lane and is taking a lot of high percentage shots.

How would you know this?

Shining Stars posts all stats for all their players going back several seasons. Just checked it - 445 threes, 9/game, 29%, 2014/15 season. Almost twice as many attempts as the next most active shooter of all players, all ages that season.

Just to be clear, I don't have a dog in the fight. Just wasn't sure it was a coaching thing given the history here. Conner has two of the best freshman in the area and I also am not coming down on the players involved.
