Randy Parker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Final from the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic.
Randy Parker Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Luke Johnson had 30 points for the Knights, including 14 of their 19 4th quarter points (per Josh Moore). LexCath will face the Trinity/Henry Clay winner.
mcpapa Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Good win for the Knights, and sounds like a good showing for HC.
Baseball Nut 24 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Not a good shooting night for the Indians combined with too many turnovers. Great to see HC play hard till the end and keep it close when things didn't go their way most of the night. Luke Johnson had 26 points for LC, including 10/10 fts. The Knights were 17-26 from the FT line. Holy Cross 5-9. That was the difference in the game. Good luck to both teams the rest of the tourney.
#99 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Wasn't overall a bad game for hc, (wasn't great either) but was a very bad first quarter. Things got better after the first but still to many turnovers.
Clyde Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Watching the game now. HC hits a 3 on the first possession but doesn't score again until 1 minute left in the quarter. I just finished the first quarter. Waiting on my guy Gary Ball to drop a Turkey Jones reference on me.

Do you have the stats for their 3 point shooting?
Clyde Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Tanner Johnson is a nice PG for LC. Nice passer. Solid shooter.
Baseball Nut 24 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Clyde, I do not have he official game stats. I was just pointing out that the free throws were the difference in the game. I didn't mean the officiating was bad or anything like that. Holy Cross did shoot jump shots and I know that leads to not getting on the free throw line. Holy Cross hadn't shot it that poorly all year and still hung in there till the end and kept it close. They will need to have their "A" game today against Henry Clay.
Baseball Nut 24 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Great game for Holy Cross to play in and also today against Henry Clay. It will only make them better when they get back into the 9th region.
Qryche11 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I watched the game in spots just now and I saw a ton of silly turnovers by HC. Curious how many they had in the game.

Baseball Nut 24 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Good experience for Holy Cross to play in this tournament. I really do think it will help them down the road this year and into post season. Great exposure for our kids. Q - you are correct on the silly turnovers. Normally a pretty good ball handling team, the Indians didn't take care of the ball at all last night. Couple that with the poor shooting night and you get a L.
Clyde Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Has any team tried to use "fully deny" on Bezold?
