December 28, 201510 yr They did not lose the game on purpose. That's just ridiculous to even give a shred of credibility to... Now that would deserve a 4 game suspension! And probably a visit from some folks in Las Vegas!

December 29, 201510 yr Hoodie made the decision on the coin flip and while I wouldn't have the guts to do it, I see why he did. The Pats O had been pretty bad all game due to injuries. I think he thought his D could hold the Jets and either have a FG for the win or tie. Hoodie is not afraid to do what he thinks no matter what anyone else thinks. Going for it on 4th and 2 from their own 29 against the Colts years ago was a call I agreed with even though he got ripped for it. He just thought going with Brady to convert made more sense than giving the ball to PM and hoping to stop him. He is the only coach in the NFL who would have done that and I agreed with him even thought it did not work. I TOTALLY DISAGREED with how he handled the last minute of the SB last year (taking no time outs to give Brady a chance) but it worked for him - the INT at the goal line bailed him out IMO.
