December 16, 201510 yr Possibly. I guess if it were legal you would have brothels and such, which would likely be much safer than picking up a random heroin addict off the street. Personally I have no idea how the girls walking the streets in my area make a dime, much less support $500 a day drug habbits. But apparently they do. I think the simple point is, let's not blame sex for other ills of society. They may be in bed with each other, but prostitution isn't to blame...
December 16, 201510 yr I'd love to see the statistics on men and abortion? What percentage actually were not given a choice? What percentage were supportive and agreed to the choice? What percentage offered any help at all? What percentage turned their backs on the woman they got pregnant?

December 16, 201510 yr What percentage were forced to pay child support for 18 years? and then found out it wasn't their kid?! LOL #sucker I really don't have a lot of sympathy for men in these situations. Keep your pants zipped and none of this matters.
December 16, 201510 yr and then found out it wasn't their kid?! LOL #sucker I really don't have a lot of sympathy for men in these situations. Keep your pants zipped and none of this matters. Easy to say but the woman 100% makes the choice on the financial end of things. I really think this is an issue that needs to go to the Supreme Court.
December 16, 201510 yr Well then, maybe the dad should have the fetus transplanted into his uterus... Ok, here we can trade, the baby's life for the woman's ovaries. That way she has no more babies to kill other than my own.

December 16, 201510 yr Ok, here we can trade, the baby's life for the woman's ovaries. That way she has no more babies to kill other than my own. Or you can just be responsible for your own body and make sure you don't get anyone pregnant. It does take two to make a baby, you know. Wrap it up or keep it in your pants.
December 16, 201510 yr Pants zipped That does go for both don't it It certainly does. I'm just saying, don't trust a woman who says she's on the pill or can't get pregnant or whatever. Take ownership of your own actions.
December 16, 201510 yr While I can't dissagree completely. The one problem I have with prostitution is that it promotes drug trade, in a big way. At least that's how it is in my local area. Interesting -- how so?
December 16, 201510 yr It certainly does. I'm just saying, don't trust a woman who says she's on the pill or can't get pregnant or whatever. Take ownership of your own actions. I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but if the man doesn't have a choice, then how can he take ownership of his own actions?
December 16, 201510 yr I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but if the man doesn't have a choice, then how can he take ownership of his own actions? How does he not have a choice to have unprotected sex?
December 16, 201510 yr Interesting -- how so? More less most if not all of the prostitutes in my area are drug addicts that turned to prostitution to support their habbit. So other than the $50 or so they may need for a place to stay each night, the other $500 plus they make daily are going to drug dealers to support their habbit. Occasionally when they get behind on payments to the Detroit crew, they help them set up robberies of John's, to pay off their debt. It's truly a mess. Huntington is an absolute disaster at the moment.
December 16, 201510 yr Or you can just be responsible for your own body and make sure you don't get anyone pregnant. It does take two to make a baby, you know. Wrap it up or keep it in your pants. Or keep your legs together, that'll work too. I agree with JJ and G that I don't get why only one side of a double headed mistake gets to decide if the child lives or not. As far as prostitution goes, if it is legalized it would need to be closely regulated for safety sake for both parties. Human Trafficking is a MUCH bigger problem than most people realize, maybe legalizing prostitution and and cracking down harder on what would be left as illegal prostitution would be a good first step.
December 16, 201510 yr How does he not have a choice to have unprotected sex? For starters, that's assuming that all unplanned pregnancies arise out of unprotected sex. I'm sure most do, but certainly not all. Nevertheless, you posted that a man should take ownership for his own actions. The action that he must take ownership of is the sex itself (and resulting pregnancy). If the man doesn't have a choice in whether to keep/abort the baby, how can he take ownership for his actions?
