December 14, 201510 yr Boy for once I'm not hoping for a white Christmas unless it's gone by that night. Usually I'd love it but my daughter has to return to Louisville very early the day after Christmas to work.
December 15, 201510 yr Author Boy for once I'm not hoping for a white Christmas unless it's gone by that night. Usually I'd love it but my daughter has to return to Louisville very early the day after Christmas to work. It doesn't look good at all for white Christmas. I just checked the long range forecast. Temps look to be close to 70 especially in SEKY at the beginning of next week. Look for rain and possible thunderstorms Christmas Eve through Christmas Day.
December 21, 201510 yr Author Just to let everyone know. I'm watching the possibility of strong to severe storms on Wednesday. I haven't posted anything yet because I was wanting to make sure. As of now most of Kentucky is in a marginal risk area for possible strong to severe storms sometime on Wednesday. This is a developing situation and everyone should monitor the weather on Wednesday. I know it is a big travel day so I'm closely watching it. This could be a tornado outbreak for parts of the the Mississippi and Tennessee Valley. It may reach into the Ohio and the southern Appalachians. I want to caution everyone that there is nothing definitive yet. I just wanted to give a heads up.
December 22, 201510 yr Snow on Christmas is very overrated. Snow at ANY time is very overrated. But, for the first time ever, I'm fully prepared, even bought an ergonomically designed snow shovel...and no need for it yet. I'm good with that though. I'll gladly use the shovel as a decoration.
December 22, 201510 yr Author Give me tornado chasing over snow on Christmas 100 times out of 100. Parts of Kentucky especially around the Bowling Green area may just see a tornado. I'm starting a new thread for the possible severe weather on Wednesday.
December 22, 201510 yr Parts of Kentucky especially around the Bowling Green area may just see a tornado. I'm starting a new thread for the possible severe weather on Wednesday. Marc Weinberg of WDRB was expressing his concern for severe weather tomorrow night. I didn't realize it was supposed to be over 70 in some parts of the state.
