December 10, 201510 yr Sadly enough this will become more widespread if the terror attacks continue. Mainstream America does not echo this boards liberal posters and I think you are gonna see this very clearly in the days to come.

Mainstream America does not echo this boards liberal posters and I think you are gonna see this very clearly in the days to come. I completely disagree with what this woman did. You are correct in what you said. While we know not all Muslims, or even a majority of Muslims are radical jihadists, a large portion of America, as can be seen in poll numbers are fed up. I'm not saying they are correct. I am making an observation. We were attacked on 9/11 by radical Muslim jihadists. Same in 1993 WTC attack. Shoe bomber, underwear bomber, Ft. Hood shooter, San Bernadino shooter were all radical Muslim jihadists. Many try to ignore this fact or justify this fact by saying "we aren't at war with Muslims". We are at war with radical Muslims. We have been for decades, there just hasn't been a formal declaration.

We are not at war with Muslims but some people through their ignorance don't seem to be able to differentiate between the two. If we are at war with the KKK does that mean we are at war with southerners, Christians, or southern Christians? No.

No. Can you explain why this administration and many on this board refuse to admit we are at war with radical Muslim jihadists? You have been reluctant to call it what it is. Why? Political correctness? I'm just a factual type of person. Call it what is.
December 10, 201510 yr I do not totally agree we are not at war with Islam. What you have here is a group of people who are just following the Quran.
December 10, 201510 yr You have been reluctant to call it what it is. Why? Political correctness? I don't think it's political correctness so much as it's just politics. There are some who want to whip folks into a frenzy by saying "Islam" and "war" as close together as many times as possible because they believe that identifying a thing and saying "That's the bad thing. Destroy it." makes the appeal to action more direct. There are others who believe that the way things are said contributes to the way some folks understand them around the world and that by making clear we're looking for radicals that disgrace the name of Islam, it may keep the level-headed people level-headed.
December 10, 201510 yr I do not totally agree we are not at war with Islam. What you have here is a group of people who are just following the Quran. They are following an extremely strict interpretation of the Koran. Fortunately Jews do not follow a strict interpretation of the old testament otherwise they would do things that would appall most everyone on this board also. The Muslims I have met that work in research at University of Louisville Speed School or are Medical Doctors in the Louisville area hospitals or taught me in college do no follow this extreme interpretation. I never have understood why some don't get that. Now on the flip side, the percentage of Muslims who DO agree with such an extreme theology is very possibly higher than the tiny percent many like to believe. In general terms, the Muslims who are highly educated (MD's, Ph.D's) are of no risk as far as I am concerned. The Muslims who come from impoverished areas were there is virtually no formal education are where extremist views can grab hold of those who in some ways don't know any different and their lack of education makes them easy prey for such views.

So how is saying radical Muslim jihadists not clear enough? That's about as clear as one can get.

Political correctness? I'm just a factual type of person. Call it what is. I have no idea why this administration does anything it does. Please point out a single instance where I have been reluctant to call it what it is. I'll wait. I am in no way shape or form politically correct, you obviously have not been paying attention. I have and will continue to point out that we are not at war with Muslims but only with the radicalized Muslims. Huge difference, huge. Yet some people will not or can not see the difference. That would be like saying the FBI's war on the mafia was a war on Italians.
December 10, 201510 yr What are Islams imans saying now about whats going on? That is another area I criticize Islam on. Even the most far right Southern Baptists speak out against Westboro but Muslims never criticize their most extreme in their faith. Even Muhammad Ali is slow to speak out and be is the most influential Muslim in the US. Is it a cultural thing, is you don't criticize your own even when you know they are wrong? Is it fear of retribution, ie you don't want your head separated from your shoulders?
