Will Mayfield rise to the top again, or is this the year someone else can knock them off?

I really think this is the year someone gets Mayfield. The region seems improved compared to last years.

Russellville's Coach John Myers might not have enough horses to pull it off this year, but he'll have some great teams coming out of there soon. The school is full of talent, and John can get them back out to Rhea Stadium/Barrett Field soon enough.:D

Snakesnot, do u have a Mayfield schedule? I can't find one...PM me one if you can!

Mayfield is always the favorite. But I will have to agree that they lost a substantial amount of their offensive backfield and Im not too sure about their defense. Hopefully the coaches will do as they have always done..........find a way to maximize the potential on their roster. Mayfield as of late has not had a talent DEEP roster, but they usually find a way around that.

Wow, the 1st seven games are at War Memorial Stadium for the Cards.

I would like to see Russellville make a run, like the team they had in 1990.

They were the most dominant non-Mayfield team in western Kentucky 1A that I have ever seen. Duncan and Morris were unreal at times.

Actually, seven in a row after the opener. The Alliance Bowl is at Marshall County.

They were awfully good. Best I remember, Bellevue returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the state finals, then basically got dominated for the rest of the day.

Heath's 1986 team was very good, too ... rolled through the playoffs with ease, winning every game on the road.
