If he is a parishioner understandable. Those are feeder schools for NDA, I know your going to say well kids can go where they want which is true but to get part of an AAU team and there coach, come on does that not seem odd to anyone but a few of us. Let's stop kidding ourselves.

I don't know if odd is the correct word but I do hear you. Is it any different than the "feeder" schools, which your correct they are feeders to HC, NDA, ST Henry as well, practicing at NDA once a week, which again IMO is genius by NDA. Practice with the Freshman, see the varsity after you and the 8th grader has passion for NDA. Its part in reason why the numbers are way up for girls basketball at NDA

So are you saying that it would be okay for, let's say Beechwood, to invite 8th graders from Turkeyfoot, Twenhofel, Ockerman and Camp Ernst to practice at Beechwood with their freshman?

I think those examples are all the city and all over the place and not a great analogy . Its a gym time thing. NDA feeders get once a week to practice for 1.5 hrs. So they try to find a gym to get an extra practice in. If Highlands would allow Pius or BSS etc to use theirs they wouldn't need to get NDAs help.

Everyone needs to really see what is going on at HC and I have said this before I feel for the girls who have been in the program for years to have someone bring girls in and take there positions without them giving a chance to prove themselves. Its obviously to me that the coach saw what was coming through the pipe line and had to shore those classes up with some talent. I know for a fact that he has been at Blessed Sacrament, St. Pius and IHM games, coincidence I think not.

Some of you can turn a blind eye to it and I hope your kids aren't affected by it.

Which kid has been in the program for years that is NOT on varsity and/or DOES NOT currently play varsity???? I'll wait.....

Also, NDA is filled with kids from the same AAU team, where the their coaches actually coached over the summer, as well as a few other schools, who by the way, between me and you, have new transfers as well... Shhhhhh. We won't ever discuss that. Ok. Lol. Ridiculous. And did you ever think he had a reason to be at a St. Pius game??? Or any team they were playing???? Hahahahahaha!! People who know it all really don't know so much do they??? Keep guessing, you're not even close to knowing what you're talking about!

NDA does not have new transfers this, only freshmen that are from various schools.

I think what they were saying, correct me if I am wrong. Is NDA has a lot of Stars/Premiere players and a couple have transferred to NDA after a summer with the stars. Martin from Grant after playing for him. The freshman Hoppius the same from Conner. Gribben, Zimmerman, Rennekamp all played for the stars as well. I am sure their are others. Hagen? Being involved so much with a org as their coaches are does allow them access and the opportunity to build a relationship to maybe sway these families to NDA. In the end I would hope a parent isn't going to choose a school for sports alone. I also don't feel this pales in comparison with kids playing 2-3 years for a school as a middle schooler and then changing schools and a freshman.

And HC has new 8th graders. No tranfers either. But that's what they call it.

What's the difference in the 8th grade kids that played together with the stars and the 7th grade Royal? Nothing!!

Yes, true!! however They all played with the Stars ONLY!

They will have found remnants of how you spent countless hours typing in the dark, with only a black light and Air Supply albums to keep you company. .

Officially "creepy"....and now, thanks to @RCC9, I have All of Out Love stuck in my head.....enjoyed this thread. Hope that there are Two Less Lonely People in the World now..

So what would be the difference in my scenario and what you are saying about HHS opening up theirs?? If HHS opened up their gym to allow those feeders schools to practice with their freshman...are you saying it would be perfectly fine?

And are you saying in the NDA situation, they are only opening it up to schools that only feed NDA? If that's the case, I would understand that.

If it's not, I don't see any difference in my Beechwood analagy...you could choose any middle school you want to replace the ones I named, except Beechwood feeders. And if NDA (or any private HS opens it's doors to a non-feeder), then why couldn't public schools open it's doors to any non-feeder? That's kinda what I'm asking. If NDA only opens it to the schools that feed them only, then there I have no other questions. I was just confused by what you are saying and your analagy of how its no different than HC being at non-feeder games.

I am talking about the ones that are in middle school now and are you telling me that the Macke girl who transferred right before basketball season didn't take playing time away from someone who has been in the program? ILL WAIT!!!!

Feeders are designated to one high school IHM is St. Henry, Blessed Sacrament is I believe NDA just like St. Mary and St. Joe are feeders for Brossart and Holy Trinity and St. Therese are feeders for NCC.

Who plays at ND that is on the same AAU team? You say their roster is filled with AAU teammates? And was that team formed from those players or was that team formed and then those players came. I know of one kid. But you say filled? Fill us in with the rest please.

You bringing up ND is saying "look, everyone does it, so it's okay!" However, I don't think ND worked with an AAU team to bring their team to their school. If that was the case, the kid you are referring to would have had all her AAU teammates transfer to NDA with her.

And you guys keep bringing up that it's okay that he was at St Pius. Okay, we know exactly why he was there, but you can have that one. What about the others?

Beechwood doesn't have a freshman team. If anyone has a line on some girls I'm sure Coach Houston would take their call... ;) maybe some of the girls that are being displaced at HC would be interested..

Answer me this, in your opinion and this is for everyone who is reading this did Macke take her kids to HC and part of her AAU team or why did some of these girls all of a sudden transfer to HC their 7th and 8th grade years were there High School district they are from not good enough?
