Well, the comment on that thread was made by RyleCooper right? So is he a Ryle fan? Or was he saying beating ACS makes HC a contender to win the ninth? Because I'm not sure why HC beating them makes them any more of a contender than anyone else. Now what Ryle has done, yes, makes them a contender.

So without that statement, show me when I bash HC for winning or losing. In fact, I have complemented them many times. Look it up! Don't say things that aren't true.

I believe in doing what's right and not sweeping things under the rug...like the majority of this country does nowadays. "It's wrong, but it's not that wrong so I don't care." Really?? Do the right thing and no one says a thing.

It has NOTHING to do with HC...the school or other sports.

I believe you when you say this isn't a HC thing. You've been pretty clear that you believe none of this is technically by-the-book illegal, but IYHO, it's unethical. Ethics are a funny thing. What you think is absolutely ethically wrong may not be so wrong to someone else.

Who's ethics are you questioning? Coach?..AD?..School Board?..KHSAA?..Parents?

Careful here. Closing in on legally defaming people. I will leave it at that.

I'm curious how many of the 8th graders played AAU ball for the Royals. Those teams were outstanding. I remember the Chames girl and Macke obviously. BTW how big is Chames? She was dominant as a 5th/6th grader when I watched her.

I can't answer exactly because I have no idea who knows what for sure. I'll say. I think some have blinders on because they are so loyal to HC they don't want to believe it would happen there. I say some have blinders on because they truly are just naive and don't pay enough attention OR they believe the folks that tell them "don't believe him, he's just a jealous HHS fan". Then there is a group that knows exactly what's going on and placing the emphasis on winning way before EVERYTHING else that high school and HS sports should be about. Those are the ones that are wishing me (and others) would just go away and they could get back to work. I'm not saying it's one position. My gut tells me what's going on is a group of people that place way too much emphasis on winning at the high school level. Almost like its a addiction and they take all the chances to feed that addition. Those chances may be within the rules, as they stand (loopholes) and being outside the rules if very hard to prove. Some of what's going on could be KHSAA stretching or breaking of rules and other may be school or diocese rules. I don't know who is the governing body of all the things that are going on. My guess it's a mixture.

But I'll say this again. If you have a run like they did last year. Isn't that coach and their best player a "lock" for coach and player of the year when voted on by their peers??? Neither of those were the case. I wonder why??? And don't tell me it's jealousy amongst the 9th region coaches. They have a history of voting in the most successful coaches of the year or someone that took an average team and had a great season. No NKy coach has ever had a more successful season than HC did. So why didn't his peers vote for COY and POY. Should have been a no-brainier right? Why not?

As far as 8th graders playing for Macke. yes those 2 plus Maddie Sheer (Ryle), Maggie Jones (SK), Lay Lay spelling (HC) Camille Hagen a little off and on (St Pius) a few from Cincinnati and a couple from Campbell County

As far as Holy Cross, let me say this, I have a daughter who plays for a rival. A major rival - NDA. I know what HC has been about for years with some ex players and some new ones and what they do is nothing short of heart felt and fantastic that give many kids a damn chance. If this was a new thing, I would raise my eyebrows. I know the coaches very well. Better than most on here and Kes and others are class acts. I know them from outside the gym trying to win games. I also know Macke very well and I will say the same. Passion and competitive as anything but the heart for caring for the kid is bigger.

again coming from a rival.

HC has played 4 games this year and no other 8th graders have been on the bench. That is a fact

Since HC has failed to post any stats to the KHSAA website there is no way to fact check who's played. This will play out like RCC9 has predicted (IMO) there are only a few people that share his overall knowledge of the girls programs/players in NKY. Pandora's Box is located in Latonia...

You are welcome to your opinion. I respect it and that may be your experience. But many others have a MUCH different opinion and experience than all of that and I'll just leave that there. The one thing I'll say is all that may be true for the people they wanted to help. Are they doing all that "extra" for other kids? Non-athletes? There is a reason they are so gracious to some. I won't get into it, but if you'd like to have coffee I can share with you countless things as to why many others would not have your same opinion. And I'm not saying Holy Cross as a school doesn't do wonderful things for kids. They do and I always have and will admire that about them and all private schools.

But I'm not just talking about 8th graders on macke's team. Isn't there a new very big a talented 7th grader there as well? And other discussions that have happened may appear what's being done is for the benefit of the kid. But...

And don't be shocked if some of those players you mentioned don't end up at HC as freshman. May or may not happen.

Let me ask you this too. Since you brought up Macke....why HC for Macke? Someone said it was to play with her aau friends. Well you just said there's only one there. So she left HHS in the middle of the school year a day after Bball tryouts. A school that is the top school in the state for education, they hand out Mac books to every kid, is extremely supported by the community and has a very good girls Bball program. She left to pay to go to a school (mid-year) in a different county where all of a sudden others are "showing up" to do the same. That doesn't raise your brow? It's not just about that or the entire 8th grade stuff. There is much more. Again, a lot of which I don't post.

Again, I'll meet you for coffee and see if you still have the same opinion.

I'll stop for now because I'm sensing my hand is going to get slapped by Guru! But the offer stands.

I haven't gone to the stats thing yet! Isn't there a rule about posting your stats within a certain period of time after games. As of yesterday HC had no stats posted. Maybe they just forget.

RCC, After reading your countless , repetitive and exhausting posts, I see why someone would want to leave.. Do you just feel you're better than everyone else or better than anyone not in your little town where they give out iPads to each student?!? What is really bothering you?! Is it the inner city school winning it all? With no IPad?? Or the fact that they help those same kids with no Ipads made their dream come true, and actually was given a chance? We know that does not happen everywhere around here... I know why I chose HC and it had NOTHING to do with athletics!!! It's how they make the children feel...And as far as the coaches, they believe in them when they don't even believe in themselves, not just bench them... They push them through mistakes, problems, struggled and/or fears, So they can and will succeed even after the ball stops bouncing... Isn't that what good coaches do????? I know for a fact this does not happen everywhere. Again, why I chose HC as well as many others... Everyone is welcomed and good enough!! Now Carry on with your accusations and rants..but I'd watch what you say... You're on a very fine line!!

I love BGP, and believe it fills the void left because none of the major media outlets in Cincinnati cover Northern Kentucky high school sports like they used to. But it is being abused and I am asking, politely for the moment, that the abuse stop. Implying illegal or immoral or unethical conduct by people wrongfully is legally defamatory. When those people have careers and reputations that are affected, I think the defaming parties should anticipate litigation. And I don't want that. So stop. Just stop.

Is that what you get out of the posts? That's its about my little town? Hilarious. I never bring up my little town or the Bluebirds unless someone else does to try and discredit what I'm saying. Keep attacking and diverting.

And have I ever said that they aren't good with the kids they have. That's not the issue. But I have heard different opinions about that lately as well. But I don't post everything, remember. But you brought it up.

Again. You don't have to read anything I say.

I said I'll stop. But keep getting asked questions. I'll stop answering. But it's not just me. I'm just on BGP. There's a lot going on elsewhere. And I don't just mean "the rumors". Other things. So we can sit back and watch it play out. So far, I've been spot on!

One last thing. In your statement, you said "implying wrongfully" right. Which means for that to hold would mean that what I implied on a message board as my opinion should have no validity and would have to be shown why my thoughts were incorrect right? So if someone could prove what they are saying, it wouldn't be defaming correct? I'll stop because you've asked. But let's see how it plays out.

Keep in mind I Know and love the players on last year's and this year's team. I have no issues with the kids and never have. They are great athletes and great kids.

Back on topic, since you asked Q, Chames is 6'1", 220. She turned 13 in July, probably the youngest 8th grader you will find. Holy Cross also has 12 year old 7th grader Sidney Thomas on their roster, and she is 6'3.5" and I would guess about 240.
