- I thought the Gronk offensive PI was weak.

 

- The late defensive hold was a fair call though.

 

- The injured player runoff thing was a bit confusing, but Michaels came back from break saying the refs called it correctly. Which, the irony in this was funny in that the Pats have talked about how they "practice" and continuously go over the rules with players, but this one you could tell they had no idea. Nor did the announcers or anyone else.

 

- The refs did not cost them the game. The injuries and personnel ultimately did. It is a miracle they have been as successful as they have been this year. Speaks to how much of a baller Brady is.

I think pretty much all big money sports have some level of manipulation involved, so I guess I am a conspiracy theorist. Sometimes it may be as simple as referees holding a grudge. Other times, a school, a player or a coach get a "rep" for some certain activity, then the refs. become hyper-sensitive to that activity.

 

I can say I have seen many worse shots than the one Gunner "Glass Jaw" Keil took from a Memphis player go unpenalized. However, because GJ Keil didn't get up, it immediately drew "vicious hit...yada yada by the media". It should have been a penalty for unnecessary roughness, but not targeting. UM had a target on their back the rest of the year for targeting penalities. And I saw their quarterback get worse, but he got up so the infraction apparently didn't happen.

It's just funny how Pats haters have been whining for months and months and now that we are the whiners.

 

Funny because I've seen most people on here be respectful of the Pats and give compliments on how good of a team they are. Yes some people want them to lose but a large part of that is because they don't want the Bengals to have to possibly play in Foxborough in January if the Bengals make it that far.

Maybe NE should've stopped Hillman and Anderson from rushing for a combined 5.93 yards per carry. Maybe Harper shouldn't have muffed the punt and set DEN up with a short field.

 

Denver was penalized more times than New England.

Have you never watched a football game before? Every player, specifically QBs get on the refs all the time. Very very rarely does it result in a penalty.

Yeah the officiating is bad, but I gave it a B relative to the officiating we've seen all season. These guys are just bad. All of them from Hochuli on down are just making the wrong calls left and right. Did you see the roughing the passer call in the SF game yesterday?!? Those guys should be put in jail for that call. Haha But then in the Sunday Night game last week the guy leaves his feet and leads directly with his helmet into AJ Green and nothing? I mean are you kidding me? PI has always sort of been a judgment call (like the charge in basketball) and I'm usually fine with the decisions on those unless they are just totally egregious, but every game now seems to have 1 or 2 just absolutely horrible calls that leave you scratching your head. Something has to change, I understand player safety and everything put my goodness some of these calls are just bad. Every time a QB takes a big hit its almost an automatic 15 yards. There is a difference between incidental contact helmet to helmet and leading with your head helmet to helmet. Heck they call roughing the passer now if the quarterback gets sacked and his head slams into the ground too hard. How does a defensive player even stand a chance? Sorry for the rant, but I'm sick and tired of seeing stupid yellow flags all over the field for nothing. Let them play.

Hey, I'm a Bengals fan just as much as I am a Patriots fan. My family has been Bengals fanatics before I was born and my brother works at the Paul Brown stadium. I am just a huge TB fan if the user name isn't obvious. I've been a TB fan for many years, but if the Pats and the Bengals face off in the AFC, then I'll be rooting for my Bengals. But I'll be rooting for Tom Brady at the same time.
