Because its fuel to the fire. FSU hates Florida and vice versa. You score when you have the chance. I loved seeing Dalvin run it in with 20 seconds to go. You can't show mercy in that kind of game. Not to mention, it probably was Cook saying I made the right choice when he flipped from Florida to FSU. Either way, I'm happy with the win and look forward to them hopefully getting a new years bowl.

I do however think far more of the Gators coach than Jimbo, I have noticed him in pressers - gets offended / "smarts off" if he gets a tough question. He's the coach, he is supposed to get those.

People saying that Florida was over rated haven't watched them...if you watched them this year at all, you knew it was all being done with smoke and mirrors. No one that had watched them any at all thought they were a top team, regardless what their record was.

 

Florida had a good record but hadn't beaten anyone to get it and nearly lost to Kentucky...they may have won the SEC East but no one was proclaiming the SEC East was a bunch of Giant Killers either.

 

But the bottom line is if you get late in the season and only have 1 loss the polls will move you up and even above teams that would thrash you, that's just the way it is.

You just posted the very definition of overrated. That's the point, Florida was ranked based on a record built on a shaky foundation. They were moved up ahead of teams that everyone knew they probably wouldn't beat. It's not unprecedented that a team of their record wouldn't be rated as highly. Why was Houston ranked where they were (an unbeaten 13th rank then a 1 loss 21st rank)? Because they're not a power 5 conference team and the committee didn't respect their schedule/body of work. No different from how Florida should have found themselves. On top of all that, Florida was rated 12th by the CFP committee, a committee that rates teams purely on how they look, not just their record.
