Good news for CCH fans...Josh Blesser pitched tonight, and looked very good. He threw 2 innings gave up 1 hit, and struck out 4. :thumb:

Apparently good. I didnt ask him, but like I said...he threw great.

I had a chance to see the Colonels play last night and came away impressed. They hit the ball really well and are solid in the field.

 

On a side note though, I was kind of impressed with the warriors first pitcher (Ryan Gribble?). I know he struck Curley out on 3 pitches, one being a knuckleball that he just waved at. If I'm not mistaken The Gribble kid attended Holmes and played varsity as freshman. Too bad he never played after that. I think by the time he would have been a senior this year, he could have really been one of the better pitchers in nky.

How did the Colonels look up in Dayton? Who all pitched?

I only went to the second game on Saturday. If I remember correctly Craig Shanks, Pat Muth, and Eric Sawyer pitched.

 

I know that Bleser pitched a couple of innings on Sunday, despite his fractured pointer finger on his right hand.

Hmm i didnt think that ANY of those guys were throwin this summer....i thought Shanks and Bleser had arm troubles and were not pitching and i didnt even know Pat and Eric pitched...shows how much i know

Eric doesn't pitch... I don't think. It was the last inning and we were up by quite a few..... and Walt wasn't there.

He throws somewhat hard but doesnt really have a curve and has trouble with control.

So how did all of them throw?

The Eagles beat the Colonels 5-3 last Thursday (July 6th) at NCC Field in Silver Grove.

 

Mike Stevens pitched for the Eagles and Jimmy Ryan for the Colonels.

Only when he talks Walt into letting him pitch. He threw in a couple games for Beechwood when they were up by a lot, but Pat some games as a closer. But neither are going to blow anyone away....:thumb:

I agree, his players have a lot of fun playing for him, and its fun to watch as well.
