Interested to see how this team does this year. They ran so much offense thru Savanna Neace last year, although I thought she was more of a defensive presence than anything. Will have to overcome height with quickness and ball handling which I think they will have. No bell cow player, but they have good overall talent and depth. The lone Senior is Taylor Potts who will probably swing between the 2 & the 3 spot. Paige Noble is an athlete who can play just about any spot but Point. Others who will get looks to start or get starting minutes: Marlena Kellam PG, Abby Benson PG, Maddie Darlington SF or PF, Anna Voskuhl PF or C, Lauren Ackley G, Faith Kosco and Sydney Millay at Guards. One player I'm interested in seeing how they use is Frosh Chisolm Iloegbunam (pronounced like "aluminum). Physically ready- makes great space- soft touch around the basket. Will be tough to keep her off the court. I expect this is a team who will need to take some time to figure out what it can do offensively, but will continuously improve as the year goes on. Go Cru!
arewethereyet Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I agree with you BlueDad. This Sophomore and Junior class will need to grow up pretty quickly. They are a talented group of mostly (basketball only) girls which makes a huge difference in skill level.

I really wouldn't look to much into that game. You do remember we had 8 seniors last year , this team will be totally different from last year. Better be ready to run.

Should be a fun year to watch this Team grow together ! They have a lot of good talent and depth to run with anyone I think this year.

Over all this year I think this team has a little better basketball IQ then last years team . They have more girls that have played AAU all they way up and have done well . I do believe against some of your camels.

I don't quite understand your logic. If those girls behind them were so good, then why weren't they contributing to the varsity team's "success"?

( Not us ) It was one game if your talking about the CC game. You had girls that didn't get much playing time get some in that game. I know your team very well and I know ours . I think well be fine.

And if we had girls that don't play much play and still won by 30, that's even worse. And one of our top players didn't play at all.
