Can anyone knock South out? How?

Featured Replies

South Warren is pretty good and 4A is soooo bad, I don't think there is a team that can beat them. As long as South Warren shows up to play, I can't see them losing.

And what are you basing this on?

"Will South Warren run the table"

"Can anyone knock South out?"

Bold words from a team who saw their season come to a crashing halt the past two years before reaching the Finals.

Gotta remember they are still relatively new to being this good:whistling:

But the obvious answer is yes.. But, any team could run the table in any class. The year isn't over until the horn blows at Western. I'm just hoping we have one of these "dark horses" make it a little further than projected. Anything can happen, that's why we play a post season. Good luck to everyone in 4A this week

Yes anyone can knock them out just look at 2013 when they lost to Paducha Tilghman 8-7 in regional finals shocked everyone.

Last year in semi lost to Louisville Central 16-14.

Both those games south got a little to one dimensional and stuck with run and QB option. Plus both put 8 and 9 in the box to stop the run. They (Paducha Tilghman and Central) also were more balanced on offense with pass and run.

For those who think different . SW wasn't favored against PT two years ago or LC last year ! Both away games against teams that were suppose to beat them. And they only lose those two games with a combined 3 points. I guess you have to consider them a favorite this year with everyone else having a loss. It will be no cake walk. 4 or 5 teams left that have a fighters chance . It is the playoffs and you have a lot of seniors that realize they will never pad up again the rest of their lives. That goes a long way even with kids less talented. Good luck to everybody left in it. A special time in their lives

I agree with DDS SW was not the favorite in either year a matter of fact last year to start the season SW was picked to go 5-5 or 6-4 at best by a lot of you on this site also last year it was Belfrys to lose

I also will state that I feel this South team is special they are focused on finishing this year. They felt they have left things unfinished the past two years.

Going off the title of this thread, shouldn't we be talking about who could beat South Warren? Honestly I'd like to see them play Ashland.

Brandon Smith knows how to win state championships. Period.

SW wasn't the favorite on this site until the end of regular season they were picked second and some third by the so called experts of BGP so maybe SW is the dark horse the favorite for most of the year was JC and Ashland hec even early John Hardin anybody but SW

You sound a little butt hurt over it, you gonna be ok?
The miracle TD against North oldham helped.. incredible ending, another team from that district that I think is going to surprise people

Anyone who was at that game knows OHS dominated that game and should have put the game away in the 4th qtr but fumbled crossing the goal line. Beasley had 2 big plays late in the 4th, great back. Field was horrid - but OHS was 2-3 TD's better than North Oldham from the eye test.

I am not butt hurt I am just stating how this web site has veiwed SW all year as they weren't worthy of #1 ranking and now they are so much better than everyone else oh by the way how does butt hurt feel anyways?

And got thumped by Collins in 4A semi's in 2013

tt2,

OHS was using alot of underclassmen in 2013 and were starting to play solid football then. The Seniors now were playing alot as Sophmores. The 2014 and 2015 team at OHS are MUCH MUCH better than 2013. The 2013 overachieved to get there. But yes Collins was a great team that year. Top notch, TOP NOTCH!

Can anyone beat south?

I guess so, but I think they are in the class with the easiest path IMO. I think they would win 1A and 4A and would have shots at winning 2,3,5A but would face better competition. I don't think they would win 5 or 6A and maybe 2A (Mayfield).

No team of "mortals" can beat them!

the 2 best teams on Earth are the NE Patriots & South Warren! if you dont believe it, just ask their fans on here?
