November 11, 201510 yr I didn't get to see Pollock much, but I can't imagine someone playing a much better CF than Hamilton.
November 11, 201510 yr I didn't get to see Pollock much, but I can't imagine someone playing a much better CF than Hamilton. Just looking at the stats, I wonder if Hamilton got penalized somewhat for missing some games. Pollack had him by over 375 innings. That translated to 355 chances versus 281. So, I'd understand all of that, but Pollack also had 3 errors while Hamilton had zero. Oh yeah, Pollack also batted .315 while Hamilton was only hitting .226.
November 11, 201510 yr If you get penalized for missing games Molina wouldnt have couple of his gold gloves, I have always hated the way the decide these. Phillips has been robbed a couple times for sure, I have got to where I get mad before I even look at the results
November 11, 201510 yr No errors and still didnt win the gold glove, how nuts is that, Phillips makes plays that only he can make and gets no respect for them

I wasn't aware batting gloves were also taken into consideration.
November 20, 201510 yr I wasn't aware batting gloves were also taken into consideration. Unfortunately, I think that's happened on many occasions. Voters confuse "having a good season overall", with being the best defender.
