Great opportunity for this young man....

Dane is a kid that excels at everything. He has a good head in his shoulders. He's not done growing. Congrats young man.

Congrats

Love to see a school that utilizes their tight end. He obviously was featured in the offense and look where it got him.

Purple88, may I ask how the young man got an amazing opportunity of this nature? Connection to the program - maybe a family connection or did he attend a camp and keep in touch throughout the season? I don't care what anyone might say - this is a great opportunity...might be expensive but I'm willing to bet this kid is a top notch student on top of a quality football player. Kids like that usually get some money from the academic side. Just wondering about the process for this young man and his family. Appreciate anything you can share.

Old School, I honestly don't know. But I will research it for you and get back to you.

I agree with the points of your post! :thumb:

Family has strong connection with Jack Harbaugh, Jims dad. When he coached at WKU, Danes dad and the Harbaugh family connected.

With that said, Dane still earned a PWO. Coach of a top level program isn't going to just pass out free opportunities to kids based on relationships. Coach Harbaugh I am sure knows plenty of folks whose kid is a soon to be freshman football player.

Again, regardless of the why's or why nots, the kid will play in the Big House. Great opportunity to a fine young man whose family has been a staple in BG for many years.

Holy crap! Excellent news!

His dad is responsible for all the straight smiles in BG! :thumb:

Thanks for the info. Doesn't hurt to have the connection but I agree Coach Harbaugh isn't passing out PWO spots just for the heck of it. Hope to see the kid make a contribution down the road!

He's a kid I hate to see OHS play against - so confident and he's always in the right spot! Smart football player - congrats to him.
