Just like in the NCC vs Holy Cross game neither WV or Lloyd is good enough to have an off night and win. Lloyd probably should win but I am not counting WV out at home. Couple of turnovers and penalties and this one could go down to the wire.

IMO WV has not really played the type of schedule that helps a team in the playoffs. The schedule the Juggs played was vastly improved this season. I am a firm believer in the ideology that a tough non-district schedule helps mentally and physically prepare a team for the playoffs. I see the Juggs as the more battle-tested team. However, anything can happen under the lights on Friday nights.

Lets have a clean and injury free contest between two schools who have earned the opportunity to play in the 2nd round if the playoffs.

The names Gaines, Townsend, Runion, Yero, Hatton, Jouett, Lunsford, Brunner, and Maynard will be echoing in the ears of WV fans all night. This year the Juggs are determined! 35-21

And on the defensive side, Lloyd fans should get used to hearing the name Stammer. He makes a ton of tackles for WV.

Who? I said Stammer, I didn't stutter.

Totally disagree. Walton has played a tough as schedule as they have ever played.

Lloyd is coming together as a team, think it will be a little much for the Bearcats, Lloyd wins 35-21

Sarge, I am trying to figure out exactly where your disagreement is coming from? WV is 6-5 and to be frank they only have one impressive win this year and that was against Lexington Christian who is now sitting at 7-4 as they get ready for their second round playoff game. WV swept their four district games and those four teams have a combined record of 15"wins and 28 losses. Throw in WV's sixth win against a 1-10 newport team and the schedule is starting to look not so tough. IMO, WV played at best 4 quality opponents (Lloyd, Holy Cross, Lex Christian, and Henry Co) and of those four they won one game. Also New Richmond is not anything special.

I get the fact that WV can not control that district 5 was down this season and they can only play what's on the schedule, but there are only 3 teams from WV schedule that are still playing going into week 2 of the playoffs and all 3 schools are 2A.

I am with you on this one, Lloyd has a lot of play makers way more than the ones they always speaking on, but collectively as a team they have the advantage on this one. If the coaches up the play book just a little and do more than what we always see they should do a great job Lloyd is far more a better team

New Richmond was a Division 3 Ohio Playoff Team this season. Look test says Lloyd should win by a lot. We will see. Walton has several freshman and sophomores that play quite a bit. Takes some actual game experience for those guys to gain confidence and come together. I am sure Lloyd has improved quite a bit as well...NCC game is evidence of that.

That is corect, Lloyd also has Freshmans and Sophomores who play as well and that NCC game should have been Lloyds by 2 TDs. it will come down to who wants it the most.

Without the penalties NCC would have won that Lloyd game by 2+ TDs. But should've, could've, would've..... all speculation

You said schedule and not wins by WV. They were in every game with the exception of Henry. This is a young team and were still trying to figure themselves out and I believe have come light years from the start with lessening mistake and learning how to win. I think Lloyd is in a dog fight with any of the those four teams and definitely not a guaranteed win for them. By the way don't discount t New Richmond they two platoon and have a good skill and line players.

I am all with you on should, could've, would've. You can even sell me on NCC beating the Juggs by 2 td's if they would happen to meet next week. I have always said that NCC closes out game and Lloyd does not.

NCC does not win that game by 2 td's that night. Lloyd wins by 2 td's with a kicker. NCC's average field position was on Lloyd's 45 yard line. The Juggs out played the Breds everywhere but the scoreboard. But, now we are getting back to should, could've, and would've.

Just trying to understand what is being debated here. The comment that sparked all this was that the Juggs played a tougher schedule and you said you disagreed. You said that the Bearcats have played one of their toughest schedules yet. Which I don't think anyone was questioning that. But Sarge are you saying Waltons strength of schedule and quality of wins are the same as Lloyd's?

Sarge, you are spot on about New Richmond I had them mixed up with another team. My meaning with schedule /wins for WV was by all appearances they played a weaker schedule yet only won 5 regular season games. From an outsider perspective their schedule looks suspect. But,as you mentioned they play a lot of underclassmen, so their schedule may well be perfect for maturing a young team and helping them gel. They are certainly doing something right because they are still playing.

No disrespect was ever intended to WV.

NCCs field position was mostly due to their penalties, point blank. Without those penalties of 100+ yards, NCC would have won by 2+ tds.
