I think LSU might have the better team, but Alabama has Saban and LSU has Miles.

If Alabama wins there's a high possibility that both teams get into the playoffs. Both teams with 1 loss in the SEC, how could you leave them out?

You can't reserve half the playoff for one conference. Conference championship games eliminate that.

So how do you justify putting Alabama in but leaving LSU out if the Tide wins Saturday then both teams win out? Alabama's loss was to Ole Miss at home and LSU's would be on the road at Alabama.

Alabama by 7 at home. LSU is the pro style Alabama is built for.

I know it's an SEC board but it's not an SEC playoff. I'm sure you could show a path to put 3 teams in if you wanted.

There is 0% chance of them putting 2 SEC teams in the playoff. The Big 12 teams all play each other and there is no way that the winner doesn't get in. Then the SEC champ, Clemson, and Big 10 champ.

If Bama wins here and LSU beats Ol Miss, who wins the tiebreaker?

Because there will most likely be 3 undefeated conference champs. That's how. Honestly there is a bigger chance that the SEC gets no teams than 2 teams.

Bama. Head to head.
Bama. Head to head.

But Bama and Ol Miss would each have one loss in the West and Ol Miss beat Bama. Do they they go to over all conference record as a tie breaker?

LSU winning out means they beat Ole Miss.

LSU winning out means they beat Ole Miss.

Thanks, I was thinking Ol Miss was undefeated in the West so I was confused.

Technically they are undefeated in the West since they lost to Florida, but it's overall conference record not your division record.
