3A Playoff Predictions

Robbins health will not matter unless they fix their Oline woes. If all they can do is pass all night I think he will be on his butt too much to affect the game a whole lot. They HAVE to be able to run to get the play action game working. If the run game doesn't hold those linebackers and corners a little closer to the line our guys will have a hard time getting separation in open field against Central. Boyle can beat Central at home or away but man I wish it were in Danville. If we don't hold our own at the line of scrimmage and drop passes and turn it over it will be a long night in Louisville. Don't have to play perfect but have to play better than LexCath and Dunbar game. Just my very humble opinion of course.

Boyle has rushed for 1600 YDS this season that's as much as Central has on the season,I think Robbins ankles have had alot to do with offensive production the last 3 games his ability to run the ball really adds to our offense and with both ankle sprains it has really hurt his mobility and our offense he's not even been able to step into his throws when passing the ball he has to be healthy or close to it for Boyle to make a deep run in the playoffs.

A healthy Robbins is faster than you think but I agree that he does need to be healthy for Boyle to be competitive.

Josiah is fast, but he is not faster than most of Central's skill guys. That is not a knock, it is just the truth. Doesn't make him any less of a great player - just not as fast as those guys.

Yep... very true.

To Robbins' credit he is slippery moreso than fast. Very good at using his feet and body to elude hits and avoid tackles. He will struggle to gain yards running the ball... and to be honest with the way Central hits having Robbins running in the open field may be the last thing Smith wants anyway.... but what he can do is avoid the initial rush and buy enough time to find a receiver.

Central plays aggressive Defense in the secondary. They will man up with a lone Safety in hopes of getting to the QB first, and counting on their speed to recover deep. If Robbins can evade the initial rush secondary routes will come open. What he can't do is panic like he did at times against LexCath and throw it up fro grabs. LexCath dropped those..but with Central that may be 7 points the other way.

Boyle HAS to establish the interior run. Central is scary good in pursuit. Boyle has to make them honor the run between tackles and if they do that it will be the very best thing to negate that Central pass rush and give more time. The Rebel backs have to be disciplined and if all that is there is 2 yards you take it... what you can't do is try to bounce it outside and turn a two yard gain to a 2 yard loss and in the process open yourself up for a potential strip of the football.

Smith isn't a legend for a reason. I am sure he will have the perfect gameplan... but it will be up to the players to capitalize.

I hope Boyle County rises to the challenge in Louisville. I told people that game will bring out the best in both teams because I think it's 50/50 game. I think it's also the best 2nd round matchup in the state. Turnovers, red zone and 3rd downs will determine this game

Didn't say he was but if healthy he has enough speed to do alot of damage.

Is Louisville Central a senior dominated team? Could this be a game year in and year out for at least the next 3 yrs? How is Central's JV and Middle school? Just curious!

Boyle County will be their at the end. They will beat Central, Catholic, and Caldwell.

Carr to explain how they would beat LexCath considering the Knights won @ Boyle? Not only that they have owned the series lately. They won the last meeting with their LT and starting QB out. What do you believe will be the difference if they meet up again ?

Ssshhhh, let it be brother. Let it play it out, no need to antagonize your rival team. Some just doesn't have the constructive explanation. Lex Cath just need to take care of their business and I am sure BC will do theirs as well.

He's not a Boyle fan I believe he's a LCA fan. as for us BC fans we'll take it one game at a time if we make it past the first 2 rounds then we'll have a discussion.

Oh okay

Let's go round by round. This class will be the toughest in the state after round 1.

I got:Caldwell, Union, PT, E'town, Central, Boyle, Garrard, Lex Cath,W Carter, Lawrence Co, Russell, Belfry, Powell Co, Bell Co, Casey Co, Corbin
