What exactly is the difference between a stylist and a barber--------as far as men's haircuts are concerned? Is it like the difference between a chef and a cook?

I went to a barber for years and then a hairstylist.

 

I have recently been going to a barber again, but I am at the point I really ought to just use a Flowbee. :)
