LCA sure had enough speed to damage the bunnies! No one has mentioned that LCA played without Clay Ach who is their best defensive player and starting offensive lineman. He creates a lot of havoc for offenses and things could have been much worse for Somerset had he played.

Danville has only lost to Boyle County. LCA seems to be back on track after a couple of losses.

 

It should be one of the best games going Friday night. I named it the game of the week for Lexington/Central Kentucky in the power rankings.

If you are trying to imply that Clay Ach is a thug, you couldn't be more wrong. I would love to see LCA and Somerset play again. I thought it was one of the most entertaining games that I have watched this year.

No. Kids make mistakes. I'm not making any assumptions about the kids personal demeanor, merely facts about players. Clay is probably the best o lineman in the district.

Hoping to attend this one. Danville's defense is much improved from last year's matchup.

 

This is a big game in terms of playoff implications as the loser of this game will play Prestonsburg week 1 and have to travel to Shelby Valley in round two. Winner gets East Ridge at home and Leslie County at home in round two.

I'm puzzled how you see this as making excuses. The original poster said that LCA had one of their best players out or it could have been much worse for Somerset. JumperPride1 simply pointed out that Somerset had their leading rusher and best offensive/defensive linemen out as well. He even said that this is football and those things happen. He has been saying they should have won from the get go, and saying how average LCA is after losing to them... sounds like lots excuses to me. When that happens I always believe that the better team won. I haven't seen either team so I can't be sure but really sounds like excuses. Neither team had its best player but I see one person making excuses of how they should have won.

LCA is average, as is Somerset, I'll stand by both statements. No excuses, two average football teams played last Friday in a good offensive game and the home team won. I don't see either team as being that much better than the other that one o/d lineman makes it "a lot worse" for the losing team in the case of the Ach kid. He's a great player no doubt, I simply pointed out that Somerset was without two major offensive pieces as well.

That looks a lot better imo. The way it looked was really like a sore loser, I have only seen Danville in a scrimmage don't know anything about Somerset or LCA this year so I can't argue with you.

Another thing, Danville has not really played a spread team besides Boyle, and we all know how that ended. I think Danville secondary will get exposed big time Friday night.

Somerset is more of spread team than Boyle. Boyle exposed one weakness which has in my opinion been fixed. After watching highlights of Wheatley I think that he is not best back they have faced. LCA's line may be better than teams Danville has played but he isn't as good as a few of backs they have faced. I thought from reading post on here that he was a bruiser but the highlights I have seen don't justify it. I think Danville wins... Not sure but I think 31-14

Wheatley is a bruiser 6'2 about 230, I dont know what highlights you watched, because he will run over you or by you. Watching some of Danville's highlights I think teams that can mix it up with the run and pass can beat Danville, if you just rely on the run you will have some problems, but I still don't see them stopping Wheatley either way!
