Great game. Congrats to NCC for hanging tough and coming back for the win.

Imagine if NewCath didn't kill themselves with stupid penalties every game. They still find ways to win, but imagine if they cleaned it up just a tad bit.That could be scary.

This loss rests solely on the shoulders of Coach Turner. Being greedy and throwing down the field with a lot of time left on the clock is a no no. It's kinda coaching 101. NCC capitalized on the mistake and grinded it out with the ground game like Lloyd should have done. Durham was gashing them late in the game and the Juggs had the D on the ropes. When a game with equally matched talent it comes down to coaching. The superior coaching makes the difference, and the more talented staff won.

First off, MANY thanks to JuggAlum for helping with the updates....and nice meeting you. :thumb:

 

NewCath offense and defense came up big when they needed it in the 4th quarter.

 

Jake Smith and John "hair-ball" Harris did a great job running the ball, as did, Henschen. Kobe Tallon with a huge 1st down on the final TD drive. I can only think of one pass that Henschen threw that was not on the money, kid throws a beautiful ball.

 

Breds still have some work to do with the penalties, but didn't really hurt them tonight.

 

I have much respect for this Lloyd bunch, they are pretty damn good. If these two have a re-match in the playoffs, it will be another good game.

 

Lloyd has some nice size overall, and speed as well. This will be a dangerous team come playoff time.

Big win for NCC because it keeps them off of the dirt in playoff games. Field conditions could have been a factor if they had to play at Lloyd or at Holy Cross (Holmes) in the beginning of the playoffs.

If Lloyd doesn't find a kicking game they will not have a chance in the playoffs. They gave NCC great field position all night, missed several 2 point conversions and gave up 3 & long 4th & long all night. Come on JUGGS clean it up. Throwing the ball at the end of the game when 21 was doing just fine was not a good call at all. I still love you JUGGS but come on.

I knew you weren't......... I added the, "and forget about it" in case it gets back to Ryan, kid is usually money.

NewCath is at their best feeding it to Smith and Harris and only using the pass as a change of pace.

 

This was a fun game to follow.
