Wins and losses aren't always an indicator because you never know what the other team has playing. We take ours very seriously and record every game and spend some time watching them with our kids so they can see their great plays and mistakes.

 

I will say that if our teams are blowing other teams out like we are this year then I'm feeling pretty confident about our future.

 

And I'll say that here in Georgia, it doesn't always matter because of the shear amount of transfers that most schools get a year.

No they are not inaccurate. My son felt left out due to this reason. No child should be put on the back burner because Juniors get little to no Varsity time.

Freshman and jv results are like scrimmage results you don't know what each team is putting into that game. Some teams practice separately, have separate coaches and some teams tell guys who is dressing the day before the game. Some guys who would be freshman or jv starters are already starting varsity at other schools. You just don't know.

I will never make my children stay in a sport where they feel uncomfortable. That isn't the only reason he isn't playing but it is just one of many reasons. Not on here to fight with anyone however JV should be for the less fortunate who get no playing time is all I am saying.

Everyone should get run in a JV game but not everyone should get a lot of minutes.

seniors are the only class excluded from JV. JUNIOR Varsity its right there in the name silly.

Players are allowed 8 quarters per week. Coaches choose what to do with those quarters. Parents cheer and support your kid.

How are you supposed to develop the guys who may be asked to replace the varsity starters. To my knowledge, this is what JV was designed for.

JV isn't ran the way you think it should. If some kids don't play enough reps in the varsity game they play JV to get reps. You earn your spot at practice. An when your number is called either in the Varsity or the JV game you have to be ready to rise above the rest an try to be the best. Everyone shouldn't play no matter what game it is varsity or jv because its not PEE WEE FOOTBALL no more.
