They have been successful running the ball, look at most teams that are successful running the ball. Not a lot of passing going on there.

If Bracken controls time of possession and don't turn ball over this could be the 1A upset of the week. Nicholas controlled the Brossart game pretty much from start to finish. Take out the 6 careless turnovers and it's all Nicholas County! Gotta give props to Brossart tho, they kept slugging away and came out on top. I think this game will be closer than many expect!!! Good Luck to both teams!

I would agree. Brossart capitalized on the turnover and caused timely turnovers, as they did against Ludlow. Thats usually the makings of a good team. Its the teams that cant force turnovers, and the ones that do nothing with them when they do that struggle.

I see where Bracken has over double Rushing yards to passing yards so the run scheme must be succesful for Bracken. Do they utilize any play action? Or is the run game been so productive that the passing game is not needed as much?

We throw a lot of play action. We have a lot of solid running backs and it suits us.

I was at the Dayton game and the run was very successful. I can only recall maybe 3 pass attempts. Thats why I was asking. Looks like from what i saw 3 decent speed backs and a bruising fullback.

Bracken has a good coach and good kids up there. There are always going to be some detractors.

Its not rocket science what Bracken does on offense. Hell all anyone has to do is look at the KHSAA website and see the stats. :ohbrother: Brossart will be ready as will Bracken. If coach Wiggins is on BGP scouting then thats a whole other set of issues. Im sure Brossart had their gameplan already together before today. :thumb:

I'm a die hard polar bear fan but the real fact is bc needs to make changes! At coach and possibly qb. They have a great group of athletes and it's not showing the results we expect. I watched these kids grow up from the Tigers up and I think they could do better

 

 

Ahh yes, the old "we won at peewee slinging the ball all over the field..."

 

Without a solid QB why would any coach want to open it up?? This team is still young, and they've been on the doorstep a few times... No need to be restless
