Define overcrowding. Our school populations are small compared to big schools around the country. Ky doesnt have a school in the top 100 largest. # 100 nationally has 3300 students. We dont get close to those numbers. We dont have an overcrowding issue. How many schools have gotten new turf. Guess they found a way to spend millions of dollars and deal with their overcrowding issues. Almost all the Cincy schools have turf.

Overcrowded meaning more kids than the school was designed for. The state will not let you build a school based on projected enrollment only actual enrollment

Oh, well that makes perfect sense. Instead of building a school with a little wiggle room, let's build two to capacity so we have to add a third, and fourth and fifth. So what is the cost on two new schools in addition to existing ( should have been bigger ) schools with nice 25 year turf fields?

There was absolutely no money left when it was built. They didn't even have a lot of equipment for a lot of the different sports. I remember the cheerleaders didn't even have pads to practice on for their builds etc. it wasn't as if building a school meant they had millions left over to do with what they wanted.

That is the problem with the state, not the school. The state will not allow a school to be built for what the expected growth is to be but they can only build for what the current enrollment is. That is the problem with the state.

 

I remember when Erpenbeck elementary was built, they had trailers in year 2 and I asked them why they didn't build for expansion and they explained the state does not allow that for schools.

I get it, but that's like buying a two seat sports car when you have twins on the way instead of the minivan. Kinda stupid! The cost of a very large school has to be cheaper than two big schools or three or four. You could eliminate the cost of one or two if you had the common sense of a.... wait I forgot I was talking about politicians who have all of your money that is unlimited right? Why spend it wisely. They can just get more..

We have some very fast backs and a very big strong one. We really have been able to run at will when we stick with it. I don't think that one bad game is something to worry about. sometimes match-ups can work that way. Like when we played Cov-Cath. We couldn't get the ground game going. They had our number.

Now if your giving that up every game, then :scared:.
