This whole game is a joke, since it doesnt represent NKY , whatsoever, it just another 9th region deal. But Newport is in the 9th, so you probably have a shot of some of your players makeing the team. But then again, if your not from ..Cov cath, Ncc,Beechwood....good luck!!

Brossart has three juniors....

Matt Atkins from Newport participated last year as a Junior hopefully he gets invited again to play one more high school game before heading to Kentucky Weslyan.

 

The Atkins kid from Newport is a great Baseball/Football player. He's been voted best pitcher three years in a row. Also, I think he led the football team in Tackles and receiving the last two years. Great job!! and Good luck at Kentucky Weslyan.

Well being that BW has no Juniors, then thats 3 or 4 extra spots for other teams jr's...:thumb:

They have to draw the line somewhere for logistical reasons. You can't have 2 or 3 players representing 50 schools making up a 100 player rooster.

 

There will be plenty of good players there. Should be a good time. I think it is more of a reward for hard work then a joke.

I understand that the indivudal coaches told the players but they haven't been posted yet.

Brossart's juniors attending are Kyle Kramer, Nathan Mutsch, and Jimmy Uebel. Not sure about the seniors.

Braden McCain and Brett White are the Camel seniors, and Luke Bray and Chris Harrison are the Juniors.

Well i did see the Bartel kid from Newport and he said that him and Atkins have not been told yet about the game. I wonder if Coach Brown is going to tell them about it. Would like to see these 2 Cats play one more time. I did see the Atkins kid play in the football game on Thursday, so i guess he will play baseball if the coach tells him.

The Villa reps for the game for the Seniors are Kyle Herbstreit and Kyle Harris, the Junior Reps are Chris Ruth, and Geoff Lamping

I hear the Ryle reps are:

Senior - Mark Guttridge

Juniors - Garrett Wagner & Vince Murray

With all due respect you cant have every team in the 9th, some of the 10th, and some of the 8th respresented. The object is to give Juniors and senior recognition for a job well done. You cant do that in one night if you have the whole 9th region, and then include BB, Scott, CC, Walton, Silver Grove, etc etc etc... I mean think about it, with just the 9th region you have what 20 teams or so... that right there makes 40 players.... spolit them to 2 teams and you have a 20 man roster the way it is. You have to be logical. You cant include EVERY SINGLE N. Ky school.

 

If the aforementioned schools wished to play in the game, they could. But their coaches had to be at the coach's meeting to nominate the players.
