October 8, 201511 yr You like stirring the pot, don't you? Give me one GOOD reason to change QB's? UK would be crazy to change QB's with their winning record. Sooooo,4-1 is not good enough for you? :lol2: If Stoops isn't going to give Drew Playing time then that is fine, just don't come out and say you are going to give him some reps then. Sorry to break it to you, Towles is far from being a great QB. I don't know if you'vce watched the games or not, but Towles is as inconsistent as any QB playing today. I understand you are a HHS fan and watch the games through Bluebird glasses, but if you weren't so biased you would see Towles has stunk it up more than he has been great this season. OT against EKU? lol Come on Man!
October 8, 201511 yr Here's the thing that should be taught in Coaching 101. DO NOT ever give your opponent any motivational material to hang in their locker room all week. By saying your back up QB will play no matter what only sends the message that your opponent has zero chance of winning. I'm sure Coach Hood kept reminding the EKU players what was said to the media. If a player does this on social media they will get disciplined by the staff. UK actually has a group of interns that monitor the players social media activity so this does not happen. The 2nd quarter would have been a perfect time to give Drew a series to get his first taste of college football. Everyone would have been happy and Drew would have a little experience to build on. The results of the game would have been the same.
October 9, 201511 yr Any time now. Obviously Towles is incapable of being consistent. The only thing he is consistent at is being inconsistent. I guess you didn't see the MO. game. PT was consistent, why, because the O-line was consistent, and the receivers were consistent. How about the FL. game? PT was inconsistent, so was the O-line. The receivers were consistently dropping passes that hit them in the numbers. This isn't a one(QB) man team. If your going to point fingers, better include everybody involved.

I'll agree to the point that the oline needs work. But its not the end all be all as to why Towles can throw a great looking pass one play, then completely miss the target the following play, with the same guys on the field. It's not all his fault, but to be completely honest, he's just not a consistent qb. He has some bad habits that IMO, make the oline look worse than they really are at times.
