I think it's Etown's game to lose. My sources from Raider nation tell me one of their top players is out for this game, maybe longer with an injury. While that isn't confirmed, he DID NOT play against LaRue. Hart has so few numbers, 1 or 2 injuries kills their chances. Now...with that said, Hart's D is a run stopper for sure, and they proved they can hang with a passing team in Union (argue all you want, but I've seen and heard from multiple people it was a shoot-out in Munfordville with Union passing and Hart doing what they do best). E-town HAS to find a way to run on Hart or rely on their passing game which having watched them play twice in person I have seen little to none of. This could either be an ugly game for the Raiders, or one that opens people's eyes to what I've been telling folks all year: Hart is NOT the Hart of old this season and could pull an upset or two and make a playoff run if they're overlooked.

I am starting to lose faith in the football world simply because of the inability to look at these two teams and not see the overwhelming inequality in the places of talent, coaching and performance so far this season. I am excited that the Hart talk will end this week, not because I have anything against Hart, because I don't. I just want a realistic look at this region in 3a for once.

 

Not that I do not think that Coach Brown is a great coach, but you need to give credit to some of these little rural school coaches. If they had the talent that Coach Brown has then I'm sure they would be doing the same type of things. I have always been told that at small schools like Hart, Edmonson, Metcalfe.. you have to coach to the max just to compete. Take a kid like Bernil Cecil. Put him on Hart's team don't you think they could blow people out of the water that they have been beat by in the past?

Nah, just being honest. They are both the best teams in their respective classes. To be the best you have to beat the best. They are both defending champs. It takes a lot of hard work to get on their level. I hope my favorite teams are up for the challenge.

I absolutely agree with you. My rant was more specifically geared at the teams/talent this year. I one hundred percent agree that a lot of great coaching goes in to small county schools such as hart, Monroe, adair, metcalfe and these teams routinely win games on the wings of harder working kids and great coaches. This particular situation just does not seem to be one of these games to me

I agree with you that Etown is more talented. They are certainly more talented than anyone in the district, but I doubt that they outwork the others.
