Did Paintville prove last week that they should be the real number one? How far is that gap between Beechwood and Paintville? Russellville got exposed last week. Were they overhyped as the "replacement of Mayfield"? Is Paris strong enough to move up the ladder? Class 1A Supper District: Paintsville, Raceland and Fairview, who comes out alive? Who else should be considered for the top 10? Who doesn't belong?

I think the committee was kind to only drop Russellville to 5. They were exposed, but they played a good team. I honestly think that if they would have played easy teams all the way up to a playoff game with tough team, they would have been exposed there. Hopefully, this game will get them focused to clean up the turnovers and be much better come late October.

I think Russellville is right were they belong. They got exposed a little, but they are still a top five team.

 

The biggest opportunity for some movement in the top five will be the Raceland/Paintsville game. Should tell us a lot.

Paintsville is good enough to be #1 . They have proven it by beating both Bourbon and Pikeville. Reason I think BW should be above them I am not sure Paintsville has the depth it will take to knock off the BW.

 

Russellville first is not Mayfield. I think they will always be in the talk. What I know they have a good core of kids and a good coaching staff. So anything is possible come Friday nights. They will be in the Semi-finals

 

Paris has a very talented group of kids. Coach Washington has done a good job of turning thr program around. We really dont know how good Paris is based on their schedule. We wont know because they will finish they season 10-0. Their best wins over a Frankfort team that is 0-6 and a Middlesboro that is 1-5. We truly won't know until 2nd round of the Playoffs.

If Hazard was to knock off Pikeville then how far could they rise?

I can't speak for the entire Ranking Staff, but if Hazard beats Pikeville, I think they move up considerable. If Hazard losses to Pikeville is not an easy question. It's more about how they play against them. If they lose by 50, they may very well drop out of the Top 10, but if they play them close there is more to consider.

If Bishop Brossart beats Ludlow this week by a fair margin, do you still feel Paris will go 10-0 untested or do you feel Brossart becomes a viable challenge?

I think they definitely rise if they win...how they win determines how far.

 

I don't think it is a given that they drop with a loss.... but if they are outclassed in a bad way then a drop may occur.

 

I could even see them move up with a loss depending on how the game goes and how things happen ahead of them.

Ram ... FYI ... he is a hater, and Beechwood is one of his favorite targets to hate on.

Yes - Paris has some legs. Reason for these big margins is Paris big play ability.
