First of all , Corbin is a hardnosed team but lacking team speed.

I never thought we would lose this game. The night was wet and the ball was hard to hold on to by both teams.

I thought it was a good win for us considering the travel and playing conditions and 2 key players out.

Mayfield is in fine shape and should be better after next week.

Weather was a great equalizer in my opinion. It rained, often hard for 3 quarters. The penalties on TD's didn't help. While a 14 point win, I think you play it again without Bright and the margin is a lot wider. Even tonight it should have been but it wasn't so it is what it is. I think given. The conditions it's about what I expected. I had called for a 3 TD win which we should have had. A TD called back for a hold 2 trips where we missed field goals. One a chip shot. In the 4th, after the rain stopped we totally dominated both sides of scrimmage. That said one always expects more but Corbin made a heck of a game of it and deserves better than my excuses.

I also will point out or schedule and record. Including the OT loss to McCracken

Would Mayfield and Danville meet in the state semis or state finals?

 

Finals. Would love to see Mayfield and Danville in the Finals. I think that would be a great game. It would bring back alot of memories. How many times have they played in the finals? I can think of at least 4.

Another question for Corbin fans. Is Danville's defense better than Mayfield's? They shut Corbin out at Corbin. Who has the better defense? Is Corbin's offense farther along at this point in the season or does Danville have a better defense?

 

Corbin got a starting RB back for the Mayfield game, plus made a change on the offensive line, which seemed to help the running game. Corbin did not make as many mistakes against Mayfield as they did against Danville on the offensive side.

Thanks. It is good to see that Clevenger has gotten Danville back in these conversations. No one knew what Danville had this year but it's clear they could have a deep playoff run. I expect that from them next season as well.

I was there and Corbin was really good. 28-14 is 28-14 regardless of when the TDs were scored that opened it up. Last I checked you did have all 4 quarters to play and score. Anyway. Bright out and we win by 2 TDs against the best team we've played outside of MC tells me were fine. And what I was holding out to see, I saw.

We DO have a serious dual threat now at RB with Bright and K Caldwell....try that wrinkle on for size. Word is the Lindsey Wilson coaches wanted Caldwells contact info after the game.
