LexCath Coach????

Summer ball starting and no coach?

I have been told the coach from St Henry will be the new coach.

He announced it to his old team,St.Henry,on Sat. at KBA.

St. Henry guy is the new coach or at least that is what the Catholic parents said at the KBA today. Lex Cath won the tourny there by the way beating Dunbar in the championship by 11. Dunbar beat Scott Co. in the semis by about 6 or so points. Lex Cath beat Sacred Heart in the other game by 15 or so points. Lex Cath was w/o either of their two centers for this tournament. Still some of the new girls in the rotation looked good. The Lady Knights are ready for another big run.

The St Henry coach was in attendance at the KBA tournament and he did confirm he will be the next Lexcath coach

Jeff Hans, who has coached turned the program around at St. Henry ove the past two seasons, will be the next coach at LexCath. He is great teacher and even better person. I know he really liked the job at St. Henry and it was probably hard for him to leave, but you can't pass up an opportunity like this. Good Luck Coach Hans!!

Is this a surprise? Was Hans on anyone's radar for this job?

So if St. Henry's former coach doesn't get pregnant a couple of years back, Lexington Catholic would be looking elsewhere for a new coach? right?

Hans will do a good job at Catholic. I mean come on, I honestly think any coach w/some knowledge of the game and who can handle kids a little bit should be able to be successful at Catholic.

I am not in the least taking away from what they have accomplished, they have a great program and GREAT players, that makes the coaching aspect a bit easier. I do believe you have to know what you are doing, but anyone could succeed at Catholic if they have some drive, determination, and knowledge.

The pressure will be enormous. There will be so many questions about his ability to lead this high profile program that with every loss, or even a closely contested battle against a weaker team, the "doubt" questions will fly. It would happen to pretty much whoever was chosen, but Hans happens to be in the hot seat for now.

The rumor is that St. Henry's coach that left two years ago wants to return to the job.
