Pac Man Jones

Featured Replies

Fined $35,000 , not to mention this guy already owes over 12,000,000 in a court ruling last year for his 2007 ventures.

A 2007 trip to Las Vegas is going to cost Adam Jones more than $12 million.

The Nevada Supreme Court has upheld a jury verdict against Jones that calls for the Bengals cornerback to pay $12.4 million in damages to two Las Vegas strip club employees who were injured during a shooting in 2007. Not to mention the punching of a women a local bar as well.

Yet, Marvin still says he's a good guy. Ah, Marvin no he's not, and I guess he'll have to play NFL football for the next 10 years to pay off his debts. He should have got at least 3 games for his actions, Goodell was soft, yet again.

The fine is deserved. I am a fan but I thought PacMan should have been suspended but I will take it.

I wasn't going to bring this up but since PacMan put himself back in the news I will. I was recently talking to someone that told me in the not too distant past PacMan was caught on video at a local restaurant kicking the daylights out of a couple of dudes that were giving him a hard time. From listening to the story I believe the Bengals were able to keep this one from going public.

I will say it again, for every off field incident involving a pro athlete like PacMan that we hear about, I estimate there are three more we never hear about.

He's extremely lucky he wasn't suspended.

Adam Jones: "Go ahead. Ask me! Yeah, I got fined. 35K. Way too much for a football play. I'll appeal." #Bengals @fox19

Adam Jones: "I can't promise it won't happen again. I'm an emotional player." #Bengals @fox19

Here's what's pathetic, just because this loser plays for the Bengals, most on here think it's OK along as he helps win football games, again pure class Bengal fans, How good you must feel about this fine, upstanding male role model for our young children to watch play on Sundays. If this organization had any guts it would cut this bum yesterday, but it's the Bengals so they won't, because of the Mike Brown rehabilitation program he runs for this Bengals organization. Very sad!

Guy punches you in throat going down the field, you are going to react to it. Fine him and move along.

It's clear you've never played any kind of organized football. You take care of your business in a legal way on the football field during the plays. This isn't the WWE, geez.

Because a punch in the throat was legal right? Come on.

Like I said, I think Pacman should have been suspended but at the end of the day I am a fan. And I certainly don't think the majority of pro football players are role models. They are professional athletes plain and simple.

Also, if the Bengals were truly righteous they never would have traded for/signed Reggie Nelson. With that said I am a Reggie Nelson fan.

You think young children should be looking up to athletes as roles models? Well, that explains a lot.

I don't expect football players to be saints. I root for a team to win on the field not iwho wins a character contest.

If they are eligible and can help the Bengals win , play them.

They shouldn't be, but just like a lot of us emulated the batting stance of our favorite Red when we were growing up...kids do look at pro athletes and emulate what they see in many cases, both good and bad. The lesson some older kids will take from this is that their actions don't matter as long as the team values them.

Athletes should not be role models, but kids have and always will gravitate to them as long as sports are the predominant entertainment venue in this or any country.

So Cooper punching him in the throat is okay. Got it. How about signing Smith? You bashing the Raiders as hard?

JMO, but that falls on the parents. If a kid looks up to an athlete as a role model, that's poor parenting IMO.

And emulating a batting stance is a far cry from viewing them as a role model.

I promise you this. When you and your lovely bride finally are blessed with kids you will find that parenting is not as black and white as you make it out to be on here.
