How is NewCath even in the discussion???? While they have have played a little better NKY talent they got mauled by Belfry and they will get a run for their money against Cov. Holy Cross and Lloyd. While I understand Lloyd being in the Top 10 now, NewCath shouldn't be getting a sniff. I guess reputation from previous years counts for something here. (Snicker). If anything, Covington Holy Cross should be in the mix in the bottom of the poll. NewCath isn't even close.

You cannot be serious with this post or are you? Show me where Lloyd or Holy Cross has played any competition this year? My bad Lloyd played 1 good team and got destroyed. Both of those teams would have gotten ran off the field at Belfry. Campbell County would have beaten Lloyd and Holy Cross, They wouldn't dare schedule a team like Cooper! Not sure what your bone is with New Cath but your post was comical.

You're kidding me right???? And just what quality teams have Lloyd and Cov. Holy Cross beat this year that makes you have that delusional idea? Belfry would have put a running clock on both of those teams in the first half, Campbell County probably would have too. We hear the same crap every year, but we all know how that turns out come district play, huh? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe NewCath hasn't lost a district game since they moved to 2A and this year will be no different.

I have no bone with NewCath. I am stating what should be obvious. Is 2A that weak in the State of Kentucky that a 1-3 team is ranked #7 in the state? If 2A is that weak then it's a sad state of affairs. I have no affiliation with any 2A teams and was just browsing the thread. I find it amazing that NewCath is ranked so high because of previous year's reputations. I am affiliated with 6A teams and I promise you this. Unless your team is Trinity your team cannot, simply would not, be ranked in the top 10 in anything with a 1-3 record. You NewCath fans should have a little more self pride and not pound your chests because you won state titles in the past. This team cannot win one this year for sure and maybe in the next 3 or four.

You're way off base with this. NCC will beat both Lloyd and Holy Cross very badly.

You had a problem with NCC last year too. NCC fans do have pride & I didn't see where any NCC fan was pounding their chest because they've won state titles in the past. Get over yourself.

I don't see any NewCath fans beating their chest. NewCath consistently plays a challenging non-district schedule (mostly 5A/6A teams), with the exception of 1A Beechwood, and they are no slouch. Until recently they have beaten those "bigger" schools, and playing them prepares them for a long playoff run.

As was stated by Onespiritedfan, NewCath has NEVER lost a District game since the move to 2A in 2007. Their overall 2A record in that time is 59-6, with 4 losses in the State Finals & 2 in Regional Finals.

So this 1-3 team is probably right were they belong in the rankings at this time.

And you might be right :idunno: with your last sentence, but time will tell.....that's why you play the games.

BTW, nothing against the public schools, but I'm happy that our "fish-eating" brethren to the south have been collecting the "hardware".....let's continue to keep it in the family. :thumb:

No, you didn't go there! So much for this thread ...

Speaking of NCC, chances are good that it will be NCC in the finals vs. the DeSales/Mayfield winner so the Breds have to be in the discussion.

And DeSales the 5th best team in KY, come on Jason! How would we know with their schedule?

Right now NCC and Danville appear to be miles ahead of the rest of the pack in the East.

Would that be a semi-final match up and in Titletown or in Newport?
