Seems pretty funny thus far. The whole "Mentalist" thing was a pretty direct lift from Conan and his giant "Walker, Texas Ranger" lever.

I'm watching. Enjoyed it so far.

It's interesting how much of the old show they've kept. This whole desk monologue is straight from the Report.

Is he playing it straight or as the Buffoon from Report?

Somewhere in between. He's naturally a bit of a buffoon.

His interview with Biden was phenomenal the other night.

I've always been a fan. Need to check out the late show here soon.

I got a good laugh out of his Hunger Games themed take on Rick Perry of Texas dropping out of the GOP race for president. He wore a blue wig that was a foot high on his head and had a cannon sound in the distance signaling a competitor had fallen. It was hilarious.

That is my thought also. I loved the Colbert Report but I don't think it fits in this setting. Jury is still out for me.
