If they were given an ok to bring their equipment in, then told there isn't enough room, I could see that being a problem, unless they never mentioned how much room they needed. On the other hand, if wlgc did not let Ashland know this was their "game of the week" well ahead of time, then that's their own fault

I'm not sure whether they do or not, but there were cameras in the press box, along with the remote camera in the endzone. I was just thinking that perhaps that is why there wasn't room for wlgc to stream video from the press box.

 

What I'm getting at is that I don't think Ashland told wlgc there wasn't room if there really wasn't room for them to set up more cameras than were already in the stadium Friday night. Seems like something that should have been confirmed or denied well before gameday. Whether is was or not, I have no clue.

That could very well be the case. But with it being a remote camera there would have to be equipment somewhere nearby to operate it, presumably in the press box. If so, should Ashland have eliminated one perspective of game film for themselves to accommodate a radio station? I think not.

It was a quiet game thread considering how active it was prior to the game. I still have love for the Rams and hope they win out.

On the topic of radio broadcasts of the game, someone needs to tell Dickie Martin that Kurtlen Brown isn't from Huntington High. He kept referring to him as the "transfer from Huntington High" and that isn't true.

Ashland's Connor Fannin scored his first career TD on a 2 yard run late in the fourth quarter. Damon Black had a 9 yard TD run for Raceland to inish the scoring.

Huntington High transfer Kurtlen Brown and Ryan Khounlavong had interceptions for Ashland.

 

Ashland plays host to West Virginia Class AAA team George Washington next week. Raceland will be on the road playing East Carter.

Do you know if he got free soft drinks like I'm sure Dicky did? I would think a Herald Dispatch reporter would know if the kid was from Huntington since he covers Huntington sports, but I'm just speculating here. I have no idea if the kid played there or not.
