August 27, 201511 yr Correct but as I said it wasn't the only part of the trick. Now we have to ask how he got a receipt with all of the numbers on it. Printer inside the gumball container. He kept emphasizing that they keep their numbers held up for everyone to see. Someone sent that info to the printer & out comes the receipt. The numbers on the receipt were in darker print than everything else.

If we could see that from our computer screens, then I think Nick could see it standing right in front of him. Magicians use stage-hands/assistants all the time. Nick was that guy in this instance.

August 27, 201511 yr Having watched enough of Penn & Teller's "Fool Us" (and if you liked this, you should definitely look up that show or watch some clips on Youtube) there are a few places where he could have manipulated the outcome. The first is that the surface in the envelope is pressure sensitive, so he writes on it with his finger through the envelope while Nick Cannon peels off the front (and also why he tells Nick Cannon to hold it away from his body). The second I'm less certain on. My guess is that the jar has a false bottom and he's mounted a small receipt printer inside of the table and someone off stage punches in the number or he does it while the video is playing.

David Copperfield WAS the ENTIRE show. This guy is one of MANY trying to win a prize that fans vote upon. Why does AGT care who wins?
