Replay shows that Taker tapped out to the kamora lock but ref didn't see it..Time keeper rang the bell, the ref tells them to do their job that he didn't call for the bell, Taker hits LEsnar with a low blow then puts Lesnar in hells gates and LEsnar passes out...Taker wins

 

Good PPV but I've seen better

Worst PPV of the year. Could have cut this one to three hours. Heck the divas match was one of the better matches for the night.

Definitely a contender for worst PPV, especially how they sold it as some 4-hour super-extravaganza, and then end it how they ended it.

 

Cena/Rollins and the tag title match were the only highlights IMO. Cesaro/Owens was pretty decent, but everything else was just blah to me.

CBS Sports has summaries by a couple of writers, both of which agreed that the ending to the Main Event sucked:

 

Biggest Disappointment: The finish to the main event. Again, I get it, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating to the fans in attendance and/or paying money to watch the event when there's such a screwy finish. It's a non-finish, really. Lesnar actually should have won and video proof is provided immediately afterward. Meanwhile, we've seen the passout version of the tapout several times before. It's an easy way to have Lesnar lose without looking weak and maybe that's the problem. It's an easy way out.

Biggest Disappointment: Taker/Lesnar finish. Like Matt said, they took the easiest and cheapest way out. Lesnar needed to lose clean, setting up a true rubber match at WrestleMania 32. Instead, Taker will enter his retirement match (presumably) portrayed as a two-time loser to Lesnar, even though he got the victory. The storyline will really, really have to be developed on Raw tomorrow. The sad thing is the match was really, really great up until that point.

Just read online tonight that Sting is in New York and could be making an appearance on Raw tonight

 

Also read that Raw tonight is suppose to be huge with several surprises that will lead to big matches at Wrestlemania

The Rollins match was pretty good, but Jon Stewart's interference to end it was dumb. Could have been HHH or anyone else and it would have been better. The ending to the Lesnar match was better and it was still pretty weak. I'm curious what direction they'll go in both of those feuds now though.

 

Owens and Cesaro was alright. Owens is great. But there's not a lot compelling about those two not liking each other.

 

The New Day are hilarious.

 

The other tag match was good too, but Roman Reigns is impossibly annoying.

I like to get involved in the story lines more and using that filter I thought SummerSlam was very entertaining.

 

As unusual, I don't like some of the endings to matches but it has to be tough if you are the WWE, you need creative ways for some matches to be a "draw/tie."

All my years of watching wrestling the Pay Per views are never as good as you think they will be. The Raw events leading up to them are always better.

Had The Undertaker/Lesnar match been their first, the ending wouldn't have been as awful. As it stands, I am sure they'll fight again in the future, probably at Wrestlemania, and it will be billed the rubber match. In actuality, Lesnar won the first two.

One thing remains very clear to me: Seth Rollins is the best all-around guy in WWE. Excellent wrestler, excellent on the mic, and he plays his character as well as anyone else plays theirs.
